155 is MW.
He fought Cotto for the lineal MW title, and the WBC belt. If fighting the MW champion isn't fighting a MW, what is?
Again, Golovkin never said that. Sanchez did. If you're going to say Golovkin's agent said it, therefore Golovkin is responsible for it, then that means Hoya's 90-10, 155 came from Canelo.
This is a mandatory fight. The WBCs own rules specify you don't need to agree for a CW in a mandatory fight. It's also for the lineal MW title. Canelo already fights at 175+.
Integrity for the sport? Then why aren't you calling out the reigning MW lineal champion for trying to fight at JMW+1, even though he fights at 175+ and is apparently going to steamroll GGG?
Canelo is fighting Khan, forcing him to go to 155 for the first time. Khan is a small guy, he normally fought at WW. He has a weak chin, and hits like a flower. He is quick, but at 155 he'll lose a lot of speed. This is an easy fight for Canelo who will come in 25lbs+ heavier than him. Canelo is the one getting the free pass here, he has no intention to fight GGG.
GGG has been ducked by Sturm, Martinez, Cotto, Canelo (is trying), Quillin, Billy Joe Saunders, Johnson and Froch.
Which 3 fights did he turn down? For two years he tried to work something out with Ward, who had none of it. Only when Golovkin got a few belts did Ward become interested. Even then, Golovkin offered him 164, meeting the SMW super six champ in the middle of his favoured weight, a weight GGG would be going to for the first time. Ward's a big guy too - bigger than the Canelo v Golovkin size difference. Even so, Canelo's too scared to offer GGG 157.
Ward turned it down.
There's Cotto too, but that was a mess. Cotto was going to vacate, not fight (as indeed he did to try and avoid paying the step aside fee). Seems to make more sense for GGG to fight the victor.
Honestly dude, you seem to hate the guy. You hold him to a much higher standard than you hold other fighters, like Canelo. It's absolutely insane. All you say is '154 - 168 doe', but refuse to have any integrity over the lineal MW champion being too shook to fight at 160. That's a complete travesty. That just ****s all over the sport. If GGG had a SMW belt and held it hostage at 161, you'd be crying every minute over it, because you completely illogically hate on this one fighter.
