Rigondeaux by a country mile.
Who is the best "active"defensive boxer?

Being able to take Donaire's punch while being outweighed by 17 pounds suggests Rigondeaux's chin is far from glass. Being able to take Amagasa's punch while being outweighed by 23 pounds in the ring, suggests Rigondeaux's chin is far from glass. Rigondeaux is a petite guy, if he gets hit with a hard shot, while being outweighed by such weights, yeah he will go down. If you noticed though, he wasn't all that hurt either time. You also have idiots claiming Cordoba put him on his arse. Just shows that they didn't even see the fight.Comment

Just want to throw this out there. There is a difference between having an excellent defense and just being overly conservative in the ring stinking out the joint.Comment

Exactly...the comparison is down right ******Yeah, because Floyd takes a lot more clean punches than Rigo
fortunately for Floyd, he has a great chin, otherwise he'd been knocked down against plenty of opponents.
Rigo's chin on the other hand is pure glass, he goes down if you graze it, so even subpar opponents can floor him
the fact that he's been floored only 3 times so far is a testament to his defensive skills, which are superior to Floyd'sComment

Who are the nobodies? He got dropped by Amagasa, who outweighed him by 23 pounds in the ring. He was then thrown down by Amagasa which was incorrectly ruled a knockdown. He got dropped by Donaire, but Donaire isn't a nobody. Cordoba was a flash knock of balance. Rigondeaux didn't even go down.Comment
