I think Abel's comments are a dig at Canelo too.

If Abel and Loeffler let GGG fight Bernard Hopkins @ 168 in 2016, then he will be permanently damaging GGG's reputation and legacy. If Ward fights Kovalev in 2016, and GGG does not agree to fight Canelo in 2016, then that will be another significant blow! GGG needs a big name in 2016!Comment

Personally, I don't think Andre Ward did the same at 168. He's curiously never been very vocal about fighting a 168 pounds belt holders like DeGale, Badou Jack (or even the Direll brothers).
However, he's a tremendous fighter, the way he fought the bigger Edwin Rodriguez showed his enormous skill set but at my opinion he has not cleaned the 168 division, which is getting better...Comment

I understand but the mere fact that all belt holders at 160 (and top contenders) duck him shows that he has already cleaned the 160 division.

Both are good young fighters who are finding ways to win. I have enjoyed both of their journeys to the top of the division and when they meet it will be great for boxing. But neither one is some special talent. Ward is! (I also think GGG is special too; can't wait until he stops Canelo in 6.) But don't try to make biased arguments because of your fandom for GGG.Comment

That's really a head scratcher. Did you condemn Sanchez when he said Ward was a nobody or did you repeat that nonsense?Comment

You want fans to give credit to a guy who said, Ward hasn't beat anybody, is inactive and doesn't bring in enough fans to fight Lil G. But now that they can breath a sigh of relief he says he's a great fighter with great skills.

I doubt he gets beat bad if he gets beat at all! That statement alone lets me know your a casual and don't respect the sport or talent! You'll be the main one if Ward wins that will say he ran and held. All Sanchez statements tell me is that they respected Ward all alone and was just to risky to put GGG in the ring with him while in the process of trying to make him a starComment
