adapt lol. I can understand when Khan adapts to mw for canelo fight or GGG adapts to 168 but Ward adapting to 175 makes me laugh. Dude fought all his amateur caerrere at 175 , fought lhw champion and beat him and now of sudden he needs to adaptComment

This fight could be interesting if there were neutral judges and a neutral Ref, but that fight is in Wards backyard and they will do everything so Ward can get away with his dirty tricks, headbutts, holding and hitting.
Barrera is still very green, didn't even face one B level fighter yet and in Oakland everything is stacked against him, so Barrera is pretty much screwed if he doesn't knock Ward out.Comment

Dominic Wade is not GGG's mandatory lol. GGG's mando pulled out due to injury. Wade is his inexperienced replacement. Total mismatch.
Barrera was a hell of an amateur and is ranked #1 by the IBF, #8 by the WBC and #6 by the WBA, plus if you ever seen him (doubt it) the boy can fight. Not to mention this is Ward's first go fighting at the LHW limit. Just because YOU never heard of him doesn't make it a cherry pick. Most overused term in NSB.Comment

Remember GGG had a mandatory lined up but he supposedly got hurt. At least he was able to make a deal and fight on the date instead of letting it pass by. Sometimes we gotta take what we can get right?Comment

I was very vocal about how long it took to make this fight. Couldn't understand why a fight like this took so long to make.
With a deal in place to challenge light heavyweight titleholder Sergey Kovalev in the fall, Andre Ward will jump into the division with a 12-round fight against Sullivan Barrera on March 26.
That fight was supposed to be Ward's first bout of a three-fight deal with HBO. However, because the fight was canceled, Ward's team and HBO have battled over whether the March 26 fight is the first fight of the deal or the second. HBO's position was that March 26 is the second and that the third fight should be the one against Kovalev. Ward's position is that since the November bout did not happen, March 26 should be the first fight, and he should get a second fight, and the accompanying seven-figure payday, before facing Kovalev.
I don't know if I've ever seen anything like this.Comment

If this is accurate the delay in signing was HBO and Ward arguing over if this fight was the 1st or 2nd in the 3 fight deal. Issue is still not resolved.
