Comments Thread For: Hearn Expects Quigg To Score "Brutal" Knockout of Frampton

Eddie Hearn has predicted a big knockout win for Bury's Scott Quigg (31-0-2, 23 early) when he meets Belfast's Carl Frampton (21-0, 14 KOs) at the Manchester Arena (formerly MEN) on February 27.

I expect Eddie to be gutted after this fight.

Quigg to join Luke Campbell, Macklin, Bellew, etc... on the 'not world class' list of Matchroom fighters.

Of course Quigg is world class...don't be silly.

Not sure about a brutal KO, but i fancy Quigg for this fight. Naturally the stronger and bigger man, trains harder than anyone in the sport, improving all the time.

Frampton doesn't live the lifestyle and is struggling at the weight. He's the more skilled of the two, but Quigg has the physical advantages.

            Time will tell.

I see Quigg's only world class attribute being size, he's pretty massive at the weight. In the skill department I think he's limited.

I don't think size will be enough to beat Frampton.

Just asking as I have only seen 3 Frampton fights and one Quigg fight ...

              Who has the quicker hands?
              Who has the quicker feet?

My observation was that Frampton can be timed (Gonzalez knock downs) and Quigg has good timing (Martinez).

Yeah because fighters who do not live the lifestyle can come in at on the scales at 2.5% body fat and still have the energy to have a go at their opponent post weigh and stop their opponent the following day....

Framptons got to much skill, too much intelligence and too much drive to be beaten by quigg.

Don't forget framptons been calling quigg out for four years, the only reason this fight is happening now is because Frampton struggled in his last fight, if he hadn't of took those knock downs this fight would not be happening! Plus framptons got the balls to go into quiggs hometown to fight him!

Few weeks to go and guess what, IVE GOT TICKETS!

The way I see it is Frampton is the better boxer, faster hand and foot. He has the better fundamentals but Quigg has the size, strength and the timing.
Frampton is the better boxer, Quigg possibly the better fighter.

Before I seen Frampton outboxing him rather easily but Quigg has improved a lot, now I'm really not so sure. I don't think any result would surprise me.

If there is one thing I can't shake its that Quigg can not slip or parry a jab to save his life and Frampton has a very good jab especially for someone with short arms. Even tiny Kiko couldn't miss Quigg with the jab, Kiko frickin' Martinez!

May the best man win and man up and fight Rigo.
