Both camps mutually agreed it was in their best interest to try to build up a september fight by taking tune up fights in april and may respectively. If the fight isn't done in september the duck will be revealed. All indications point to this fight taking place in september. They both just need to come through and win their next fights and we should have a big PPV on our hands. Canelo-Khan is an exciting appetizer, but fighting a much smaller man will lead to him getting roasted on this fight if he doesn't fight GGG next. If he is fighting a monster like Golovkin next, I don't mind him not risking much bodily harm or injury by fighting a smaller man. He should KO Khan but if he doesn't it certainly isn't a layup of a fight. However, you can't go and fight a much smaller man and then avoid GGG and expect to save face. Canelo would lose all sorts of credibility for doing that.
Who's the biggest coward? Canelo or Golovkin

Of course he is within his rights to refuse to fight at 155. He is also well within his rights not to negotiate on the weight at all.Canelo is content to relinquish the belt and cruise on his PPV draw rather than taking a risk by taking the fight that he knows will cement his ATG status and fans will judge him by.
GGG is well within his rights to refuse to fight at 155, but his point blank refusal to even negotiate with Canelo as his trainer said, "not an inch" is unreasonable and basically ends all communication between them ensuring this fight never happens.
No boxer in the entire history of the sport ever had to negotiate the weight for a mandatory world title shot.
If Canelo doesn't want to fight GGG at 160 he can relinquish the title then come back to try and win it back next year, if he thinks he's ready.
Golovkin would end up making a lot more money fighting Canelo as the defending champ next year than he would get for challenging him in Sept.
I hope K2 tell Oscar "no catchweight, not a fucking ounce"
That's what I would do in their shoes.Comment

I've said the same thing myself. The Mexican fans are loyal, and they expect their heroes to earn that loyalty the hard way, if necessary. They are not going to keep supporting Canelo with their pesos if he lets them down. Both camps mutually agreed it was in their best interest to try to build up a september fight by taking tune up fights in april and may respectively. Canelo knew Lara couldn't do anything to hurt him.Canelo fought Lara when technically there was no need to. He could have used his pull to say **** Lara. Canelo did it because he cared a lot about the fans calling him a ducker, he took it very personally. When he fought Trout and Lara it was to shut the fans up. I would not call him a coward.Comment

Boxing is the only sport in which fans call their World Champions Cowards...NOBODY does this besides "Boxing Fans"
Neither is retiring after their next fight so less relax and stop being so ***ing dramatic over one fight like it is these guys LASTComment

Getting mauled by golovkin I would say is slightly more daunting than going on a 12 rd stars in your eyes dance competition with Lara ...Lara punches like a girl and canelo wouldn't mind taking a few of those ...but golovkins is a different ball game....no boxers a coward because they fight for a living.....but he is wise and knows he will be in for the beating of his life so he's a little scared lol.....theres nothing that can compare you taking punches from golovkin except maybe getting hit by a carCanelo fought Lara when technically there was no need to. I'm going to disagree with that. And I think Austin Trout's chin and Alfredo Angulo's retina will disagree with that as well. Also you can see the stinging left hands throughout the Canelo fight when ever Lara decided to throw, which was not often, although he landed as often as he threw, he just didn't throw enough. Judging by Canelo's reaction after getting hit with a straight left from Lara, it didn't look like a girl was hitting him. I think Paul Williams would also disagree with you.Getting mauled by golovkin I would say is slightly more daunting than going on a 12 rd stars in your eyes dance competition with Lara ...Lara punches like a girl and canelo wouldn't mind taking a few of those ...but golovkins is a different ball game....no boxers a coward because they fight for a living.....but he is wise and knows he will be in for the beating of his life so he's a little scared lol.....theres nothing that can compare you taking punches from golovkin except maybe getting hit by a carComment
