    oscar chose the weight.
pac was moving up 2 divisions from a weightclass he only had one fight in. he was just fighting 3 divisions lower in the same year he fought oscar.
That makes absolutely no sense, and you know it; there's no logical reason why a fighter, who'd spent 5-6 years at junior middleweight/160, would cut down to 147 and not rehydrate a single pound after weighing in.

Pacquiao walked into the ring, based on the day-of weights, as the bigger ****ing man, for ****'s sake!

Please don't let logic escape yourself; Oscar just lost to Floyd, Floyd wasn't giving him a rematch, and he wasn't going to step in with Antonio Margarito (if you can think of any other marketable fight for Oscar, with Top Rank/Golden Boy at 147/154, I'd like to hear it). Arum had him over a barrel and ****ed him, no vaseline; have no doubt in my mind that Arum tied the 147 2nd-day weight to Oscar's payout, insisting on him keeping that **** quiet, to continue to build the bull**** Pacquiao hype machine.

It's all about the money. This will be his biggest payday. Smart.

By the time DLH faced Pacquiao he was well past his sell by date. Anyone who thinks he could have beat a prime DLH is ******. For Khan to say that speaks volumes about his state of mind: clutching for straws.

          You're no Pacquiao, Khan.

Khan was offered at least $10 million to fight Brook. Khan would be lucky to get that much against Canelo.

              Its about money, and ego.

Khan would get paid more by fighting Brook but...

If he lost his ego would never recover.

He can make a very decent payday by losing to Canelo and still tell everyone how he will fight anyone, blah, blah, blah.

Was there a rehydration clause? That could be the reason why.

Pacquiao beat a dela Hoya about-to-retire, Khan is fighting Canelo at his peak. Zero chance of beating Canelo.

Canelo is quite a bit better than the DLH Manny fought. And Khan isn't even in the same as the Pacquiao that fought that night.
