I'll be quite honest with you.

That's a total mismatch, and bad. Any version of Lewis would beat Bowe and No version of Bowe could beat Lewis.

Lennox was bigger, stronger, and much more advanced than Bowe. He'd punish him with the right cross to the body....being his best punch In my Opinion.

    Better than the uppercutt.

Bowe had trouble with good big men, let's not forget Andrew Golota was whuppin his arse in both fights b4 he went mental.

Lennox would be at his best for a figbht against Rid**** Bowe and would have beaten him.

I know the whole breakdown on the Bowe being intimidated by Lewis, but if you threw the 91/92 version of Bowe in with any version of Lewis, I'd have to go with Bowe by decision or KO.

He looked like a killer, especially in that infamous Holychamp fight. Great chin, bodypuncher, infighter, combination puncher, etc etc...

It's all speculation anyway, but all BS aside I'd go for Bowe. He looked like he could be the next all world heavyweight for awhile.

there is always a chance against lewis, e****ially with a guy who can punch like bowe. I think he could have beaten lennox, but that doesn't mean he necessarily would have.

I think it's a tossup because they both had big punches, but I'd go with Lewis because he was more stable and consistent. Bowe also had trouble taking shots, he was dropped by one hook from Holy who was never a big puncher at heavy. And let's not for get that Golota hit hard enough and was technically sound enough to dominate Bowe, that says alot.

Bowe does'nt have the Mental strength Lewis had, thats why he did'nt face him.

If we are talking about who is the man its obviously Lewis and I think Bozo is accurate when he talks about Bowe and his fear of Lewis...for whatever reason he was just spooked.

Now-what I think many have forgot or just dont understand is how much of a work in progress Lennox was when Bowe won the titles from Holyfield.

The 220 pound Lennox Lewis was a much different and far less dominant fighter then the 245 pund version of Lewis we saw post McCAll 1.

Sure it is a big what if but I love what ifs-it makes for great debate...

If I was a betting man and you had a gun to my head saying I had to choose between the the 220 pound version of Lewis or the Bowe that had just come off of victory over Evander....It would be tough now but back then it was pretty clear who the better more complete fighter was-at least for me.

Bowe was the better fighter at that time there is little debate in my mind...but was he petrified of the Lewis right hand? Lewis would not be able to win by decision aganst Rid****-to many weapons in Bowe's arsenal...Lewis shot would have been strictly with the right hand and it would have been a good shot too I might add.

If you think Lennox was cautious in the last 5 years of his career watch his ass when he was 220 pounds...he fought very scared....Bowe would have probably mirrored Lewis and not taken many chances because that olympic right hand was something he obviously had a tough time forgetting.

Give me Bowe by easy UD in a very boring fight, but Bowe never touches the Prime Lewis of 245 pounds.

I have no idea where you get this from. Lewis was supposed to be afraid of Ruddock, and he went in and went right through him.

In fact, I'd say that' a good reason prime Bowe didn't want any part of Lewis at that point.

If you pop in the 1st Holyfield Bowe fight, you see Bowe talking to Lewis after the fight and one of the first things he says is "Razor Ruddock was afraid of you".

                      Ruddock wasn't the only one.

Bowe would have folded like a tent agaisnt any version of Lewis. If he didn't have the mental capacity to take the fight, what happens when Lewis is standing across the ring from him?
