Kovalev ain't Carl Froch, he's a lot quicker than Carl and hits way harder, he doesn't have Carls durability but that won't come into play in this fight

      Ward gon get cracked
kov isnt a robot but he also isnt speedy gonz..
like one person above u said this is about position. kov is constantly getting hit with straight right hands image what ward can do if he is switching stances and giving different looks..
if ward is still the same ward kov only has a punchers chances...nobody is outboxing him
jackson is trying to make himselft believe his own BS whne he says skills are only valid at one weight class..if that is the case we wouldnt have 5 time champs

same take i had on it..he's convincing himself that skills on work at one division...he knows better than that..he knows clean, quick, and crisp shots can deter a power puncher...also lets not forget ward can make it real sloppy up close where kov isnt going to draw real power...and another thing that ward is a king at...well places body shots...if this is the ward we all knew im picking him very easy over kovalev, i think the styles make him more prone to be ko'd vs steveson..just my opinion

          kov's best attributes
          attacking feet
          power
          jab
fluidity in a variety of punches

...he better add headmovement to this list or he'll be a bit of easy pickings for ward..if u know boxing vs ward it would seem that all of his attributes could easily land him out of positition or chest to chest with ward and idc if ward was coming from 160..if they go chest to chest ward has the advan due to his fast hands, leg explosiveness, and technique on the inside

and if kovalev can't hit Ward then he's in trouble. kovalev has had it easy because his opponents other the "B-hop",were scared of him. Ward and his skills are no joke and he sure as hell is'nt afraid of anybody.

By the 2nd or 3rd round Ward is going to get clipped and it'll change the dynamic of the fight, from that point on it'll be if ward can survive or not, winning will go out of the window.
fans still believe in power this much still huh??
statements like this make me think KOVALEV is the type of guy that could get out landed by ward 12 to 5 in a round, but kov could win the round simply bc ppl felt his shots meant more even if he didnt wobble or drop ward

i've seen ward wobbled and winning the round before it was all said and done..its not about not getting hit..well yes it is, but when you do get hit the light bulb comes on for guys and ward is one of those guys...going to be hard to find him with that same punch again.
kov's best bet is a one punch ko or a hope that ward that is not himself any longer and will be able to tell if he is or not in his tune up bouts

Bhop is clearly the better fighter than Ward...

Most guys have jabs and then power punches. Kovalev's jabs ARE POWER punches and after 4 or 5 jabs to the soloplexus Ward will be thinking twice about fighting from the outside. Once on the inside, he'll get to experience Kovalev's thunderous right hook over the top to the his ribs. After getting pummeled in the ribs 4 or 5 times in the clinch, he won't want to fight on the inside either.

When he begins to realize that he can't win on the inside or outside, the doubt sets in and then he will start to take on all sorts of damage. How far it goes from there is up to the mercy of his corner.

Haha, Kovalev routinely drops people with jabs to the stomach and face. He has broken the nose of his last two opponents with a jab. Ask BHOP about Kovalev's underrated boxing skills....he said the most surprising thing about him is that he is a very technical boxer, not just some brawler.

There is a reason why Ward left that Kovalev fight last week, he wanted anything but to be put on the spot having to answer about getting in the ring with Kovalev with Kovalev standing right next to him. Fighting Kovalev is the last thing on Ward's mind.

                      ...
... Kovalev waits until he figures out his opponent's stereotypes in movement... and as soon as Kovalev starts countering, shifting and hammering his "slick" opponent is paralyzed by indecision, anxiety and fear and fells into some sort of prostration...

That's how it goes... with Ward too -- but I doubt that Ward will enter the same ring with Kovalev eventually...
