Truth is that Herrera fight made people look at Garcia completely different. I remember people saying he should fight Mayweather or Pacquiao before then but that fight made him look ordinary as hell. Whether you scored it for Danny or Mauricio doesn't matter because most people saw Herrera get robbed badly and that hurt his stock big time. Basically people aside from diehards have had a hard time putting faith in him since then.

Hell people still give Manny fits over Marquez and Mayweather over Castillo. But it took time for them to regain credibility after those fights. I don't think much of Danny as a welterweight but he's not terrible either. He can beat most guys there in my opinion. Should Danny beat a Brook,Thurman, Porter, or Bradley than people will probably start supporting him like they use to.

herrera is a spoiler ala carlos molina. just real good movers with 1-2's with absolutely no pop-the type of fighters you never want to see in a ppv main event. there's room to criticize danny, for sure. for me, the kid keeps taking on good and better challenges with the occasional bum in there and as long as he's fighting most people will tune in because the kid can do it all while still having the ability to look like a novice at times in there throwing you off swinging those slow hooks to the body ... danny set up game is nice.
