Ive said it before, I dont think Ward really wants to fight anymore. I dont think he is scared of anyone or anything like that. I dont think he has the fire for it.

Ward seems impossible to make a fight with.

I talked to Ward the other day. He is bending over backwards trying to make this fight happen. He told me Duva and her team are 1: steadfastly refusing to allow headbutts as legitimate punches. 2 Barrera is refusing to wear 44 ounce gloves.

Yeah if getting him in the ring with Barrera is this difficult, just imagine the negotiations to fight Kovalev.

Well Ward's plan is to have three fights in 2016 with the third fight being against Kovalev. The problem is Ward can't even get through the first fight, so his plans are not going as scheduled. He signed a contract last year with HBO to fight Kovalev if he beats his first two opponents. I believe Kovalev and Ward will fight IF everything goes as planned.

From what I read, the way the deal is structured is that if Ward or Kovalev fight after June it has to be against each other.

But we know Ward isn't scared of a lawsuit.

Well Ward would fight on March. If he gets by Barrera than he would fight again in July and than Kovalev in November/December. I'm assuming that's how Ward sees things.

I don't see what's HBO's problem he would still fight Kovalev in 2016.
