GGG will then become WBC champ by default and hopefully WBA champ by the end of the year.

Canelo can't keep hiding at 155 forever, and GGG will have all the MW belts. If Canelo wants to stay relevant, and keep the fan base he has right now, he's going to have to fight Golovkin sooner or later.
Like I've said all along if GGG get the WBC by it being vacated its pointless and does nothing for him. It's not about belts it's about names and GGG is in no position to negotiate with Canelo. If K2 is happy with him being where he's at fine but his profile won't get higher if he gets a vacated belt instead of facing a name for it.

I don't like Canelo I hope they do fight and GGG sends him into retirement at 155-160 but that doesn't change the fact Canelo has the power. Nelo had to take it with no Vaseline against Floyd. Floyd got ****d by Oscar it's just the way it goes

Abel was more then happy to bump the gums about Mayweather at 154 more then happy to say they'd figt Ward at 164. Just shut the f.uck up get ****d in negotiations and take it out on him in the ring.

But it was acceptable when you wanted to force Andre Ward down to 164. Isn't that right, Abel Sanchez?
Answer to these questions with a simple yes or no:

Did Ward and Golovkin fight at the same division at the time?

      Have they ever?

Was Andre Ward Golovkin's mandatory at the time?

      Has he ever been?

If Bradley beats Pacquiao, then I could see Canelo demanding a 155 CW, or dropping his belt and making another big payday vs. Bradley or Brook @ 155, or even a Cotto rematch @ 155. I don't see many options for GGG beyond Canelo Alvarez.

I know what it means and if your happy with being handed a belt without a scalp attached to it then that's cool but this is the only big fight on the horizon for GGG that I can see and don't think that they being the b side should try to flex when their in no position to do so

But be happy with GGG collecting all the trinkets with no names behind them. No boxing fan or casual will give a sh.it if he has the belts and continues to fight over matched opponets. But the rule of thumb seems to be so whatever it takes to get your first high profile fight beat the odds then start dictating terms.

That's it though isn't it? I remember reading not that long ago, they were saying GGG was ready for anyone 154-168 or thereabouts. Now a 180 flip? Sorry Abel, A.) Your guy is the B side vs Canelo. You don't make the rules. B.) You said all comers 154-168, so own up to it. Or talk less. Probably - TALK LESS - would be a good move at this point.

They didn't force Ward down, they made an offer and unlike Dawson, Andre refused.

                Yes.

Andre started his pro career at 160 and had 10 fights there. His last fight at MW was the Boone fight.

Anyone catch at the end of the article when Sanchez says at the end of the year they have to face the #1 contender for the WBA?

Could be a great year for Golovkin if he fights Alvarez then Jacobs (assuming Jacobs beats Quillin in a rematch).

I'm not expecting Dominic 'Lights-Out' Wade to repeat what another young hopeless underdog IBF mando - James 'Lights-Out' Toney did to the unbeatable MW champ - Michael Nunn.

Ward moved up after Golovkin started his pro career and wasn't a MW last year, when Golovkin offered him a fight.

                    So no.

The only big fight on the horizon ...it could be but it shouldn't be on the basis that affects golovkins performance in the ring and draining down to a limit which is just above the light middlweight limit is also not negotiable especially if by doing that you actually could do damage to your body ....so know if it makes you weaker and lose then forget the big name..I would rather be a wining champion than step in the ring with a fighter I have given my advantages to.....ill tell you what you go and be a professional world champion and your be on weight at 160 at the weigh in.....then you try and lose another 5lb.....5lb to them is like 14lb to us mere mortals.....it's unfair and not correct....yeah you might say canelo did it....canelo did it on his won free will to get the mayweather fight...he wasn't forced to do it....there was nothing stating he had to fight mayweather...canelo did it and he was severely dehydrated and drawn at the weight...in fact so bad he had to sit down....people don't understand these fighters are super fit with no exceeds weight on them by weigh in time so losing another 5lbs could be life threatening...cannot believe how ****** some people are on this site....look I'm all for this fight and if golovkin could lose 3lbs safely and weigh 157 then ok make the fight....but the point is doesn't have to and also we would not be having this discussion if it was the same day weigh ins because canelo would weigh more than golovkin......need to realise 5lbs extra is a helluva lot of weight to lose come fight time
