If it goes to the scorecards, Khan most probably wins but most likely gets robbed. Canelo's main shot is to KO Khan, which is a possibility because he is a decent puncher and Khan is moving up 2 weight divisions fighting one of the best at the weight without taking a tune up.
Canelo is infinitely superior to Maidana in every sense, especially the raw Maidana from back in 2011. Canelo's turned into a terrific fighter.

Khan was better than Maidana is most categories, while Canelo is better than Khan in virtually everything but speed.

I fully expect Canelo to physically bully Khan, outbox him and hurt him...the Maidana fight was a toss-up going in, this is not.

Algieri walked Khan down easily - Khan is not a mobile as he was at 140.

Canelo has good ring craft, he can cut the ring, counter punch if needed and will win exchanges of fire.

Khan will run and come in with his straight punches, but eventually he will get tagged hard.

Khan has fought Collazo, Algieri, and Alexander at WW. Khan was only able to knock Collazo down. The only thing Khan has over Canelo is speed. But we don't even know if that speed will carry at 155. And Canelo isn't slow. He's very efficient with his punches and they're crisp. There is nothing in Khan's arsenal that can bother Canelo. Khan will be on his bike after one punch. He won't be able to clinch and out muscle Canelo. I'll be surprised if this goes beyond 4 rds.
Great points. I wasn't comparing Cotto and Khan per say. My point is just that its not just raw power its how that fighter matches up (styles). Pacquiao hurt Cotto, though I don't know if he could hurt Canelo. Maidana hurt Mayweather, but Canelo at no point hurt Money Mayweather. Khan took the best Maidana had, and even knocked him down. Styles make fights, and the type of power each has is different explosive power vs. thudding power and so on. Is Danny Garcia a better puncher than Maidana? I don't know, don't think so. Its also about punch placement, how they match up in every dimension (height, reach, weight). Danny Garcia's no-look hook might have better leverage when aimed at Khan's head than it would against a Lamont Peterson, or a Manny Pacquiao.

Canelo definitely is not slow for 154 as he landed plenty on Lara, but Khan is very fast for welterweight. I think what is really great about this fight is that while Canelo should be the clear favorite, stylistically there are some things that Khan could do to get a win. But like Roach said he would have to pitch a perfect game in that fight to get the W.

At the very least the fight is intriguing matchup just to see

There should be a 0-5% option. I believe that's his category.

Still Canelo could injure himself or get DQ'd so there's always a slim chance.

Much smaller fighters have walked right through Khan's punches. He doesn't deal with pressure well either and has virtually no inside game. His speed can be negated with timing, just like Danny Garcia did. I think Canelo must be licking his lips right now.

Even if Khan somehow miraculously makes it to the final bell, how bad would he have to embarrass Canelo to get the decision? I mean Floyd schooled him bad and Canelo still had a judge rule it a draw.

Canelo is the safe bet and I really do think he'll KO Khan, but it's not as crazy as some people are making it out to be if Khan does win. It's really going to come down to whether or not Khan can take Canelo's punches, because Khan WILL get hit clean
