That's awesome. Kovalev respected Hopkins a lot going into that fight, and probably respects him even more because Hopkins gave him the chance that finally made his career. Without B-Hop, Kovalev is probably meandering around krushing cans like GGG.

I could be wrong, but what I think may have happened is..... Freddie was most likely in the middle of an interview, he glanced over, and most likely saw the back of Hopkins head and simply assumed it was Stevenson..... then he carried on with whatever he was doing/saying and gave it no further thought until asked about Stevenson's ring-entrance.

That sounds way more likely than Freddie thinks all AA's look alike.

Isn't Stevenson from Haiti or Jamaica or something ?

Could be a mistake on Roach's side, who cares. Hopkins and Kovalev had great respect for each other which is obviously ongoing. Still can't believe Hopkins wanted a fight with Kovalev so bad 2 months shy of his 50th birthday.

This is really dumb to even be talking about really, but I don't think it was staged for the simple fact the fight is not happening and they all knew that going into the Pascal fight. Why stage something "to sell tickets" when there are no tickets to sell in the first place? It was simply a goofy confrontation that's all. It happens. Move on.
