I get boxing people trying to sell the fight: a big viewing audience helps the sport and it's a big name fight. However, that audience are tuning in to a severe mismatch.
not to mention the public FIENDED for the Leonard and Hagler fight. Not one person asked for this fight to be made.

This fight is more like Meldrick Taylor v Terry Norris

How is a welterweight fighting a career junior middleweight, at a catchweight even remotely close to the same thing?

Taylor was at 140 before he moved up had a few fights at 147. Was a small WW when he accepted the challenge of the 154 champ (Norris) who was a much much bigger and stronger fighter. Yes the CW is the only difference but 154/155 same thing to me. Taylor had the speed that didnt really carry over and the power of Norris was to much. I see the as the same

Canelo is "picking up the pennies" in his prime!!! That's sad, this kids people don't think much of him or their training knowledge if they continue to run from GGG!
He is capable of hanging with GGG in my opinion and a solid game plan could get him over the top. I see holes in GGG and he stills hasn't dealt with any stress.
I believe in challenging a talented boxer and other then Floyd this kid hasn't accepted any challenges!

The point was probably that Meldrick Taylor was a naturally smaller boxer with fast hands that Terry Norris walked right through and stopped, which is probably how Canelo-Khan will go.

Norris was'nt that much bigger than Taylor. Terry was'nt even a big JMW. With the way cutting weight has gotten, Norris would probably be fighting at welterweight today, and he certainly would'nt be blowing up to 170+ on fight night. Can't say that about Canelo.

Said the CW will be the only difference and yes Canelo will blow up bigger then Norris. I remember seeing Norris as much bigger and stronger than Taylor and thinking how Taylor speed, his biggest asset just like Khan, wasnt there at this weight. Norris walked right through him and thats how i see this fight going.

Moment the fight was announced this is the fight i thought of
