Khan Vs Canelo = Leonard Vs Hagler

At least this is what is being told the some Jounralist... I won't name, names but you see why fans are talking. Jounralist (who supposedly know the sport) are referring to Hagler/Leonard when it comes to Khan/Canelo. You wonder who to blame for this huge occurrence of Khan/Canelo talk, this is why.

Journalist saying, "you don't know boxing history, look at Leonard/Hagler or DeLaHoya/Hopkins", or "This is an all action, all entertainment fight between to of the best at their weightclasses".

The next time you see a "journalist" suggest this fight is like Leonard/Hagler I suggest that be the last time you read anything from said "journalist".

Frankly, I'd expect guys like Rafael, dougie, kim etc. to be killing this fight and killing Canelo rather than selling this garbage as a viable fight.

It would be nice if boxing had caretakers like it used to.

Have you seen all 3 of those have been backtracking cause they all took major "L's" yesterday after this was announced.

Anyway this fight isnt like those cause number 1 those were legends and number 2 the skill level of those fighters were much higher (ATM) then these 2.

This fight is more like Meldrick Taylor v Terry Norris

I could be wrong but if I remember correctly, Leonard fought over 147 a few times in his career long before the Hagler fight, I think he even had a fight at 160. Not only that, Leonard was a HUGE Welterweight especially by today standard so this Comparison absolutely FAILS in every way possible.

Only some early responses that dan got. They deserve all the criticism they get.

Rafael was really disgusting. He was so aggressive toward anyone that said this wasn't a good fight. He was like a GBP cheerleader.

I get that it was a surprise. I get it opens a new arena. That said, Khan is getting an opportunity like this coming off barely beating Algieiri. Yet none of them pointed this out.

Leonard was a big WW and an ATG.

Khan is a regular sized WW, and a middle of the pack one at that.

I get boxing people trying to sell the fight: a big viewing audience helps the sport and it's a big name fight. However, that audience are tuning in to a severe mismatch.
