What would people be saying if Golovkin had signed to fight Khan?

If it's still "very doubtful" after this, then nothing will convince you. You'll probably say "very doubtful" when he's actually in the ring with GGG, and start saying it's not really GGG it's CGI? lol..
There's no doubt Khan has a huge set of balls for taking this fight with Canelo. Couldn't have imagined it in my wildest dreams.

But even in defeat he'll make a ton of money.

The same can't be said for GGG.

Yeah but he wasn't 2x, lineal, unified, reigning SWW champ. Was it all fake?

Khan will make decent money if he brings GGG to the UK for a homecoming fight at Wembley, since Froch has made the GGG name pretty public when that fight was being discussed, it was national news.

Kind of crazy that Khan might eventually fight someone, possibly even this year, who people accused Froch of ducking.. Although I don't think Froch ducked him but the accusations were rampant at one point.

Obviously all these guys are prizefighters but Khan is slightly different to most fighters in that the glory is more important than the money - he has revenue streams from other avenues anyway so he could even retire today and still be set for life.

Complain about Khan's accolades then, not his size.

Khan ego is enough to make him take the fight, he would pursue any fight if he thinks it would prove people wrong. He chased the Bradley fight when he didn't need to, and to be honest fighting GGG is not a risk to him (apart from his health), he would be expected to lose.

You do realise no one is complimenting Canelo on this right?
Yes, I agree, it would pretty much be the same reaction.

If GGG was going to come to 155 and Khan was going to make as much $$$ as against Canelo, I think Khan would likely take that fight as well tbh.

Khan is cashing out but he is also so delusional that he almost certainly believes he is that goodtoo!

What were doing is all speculation and I can't see him fighting GGG for a couple millions. He had three years to call out the champ at mw or jmw but kept waiting on Pac and Floyd. After not getting the fight he have the fight in the next biggest star in boxing which is canelo.

If he wanted glory he could of just take his mando with Garcia or go to jmw and fight for a title there but hes a career jww going to fight the biggest name in boxing right now. If that doesn't seem really odd than I don't know what is.

It doesn't change my opinion on him either way because I never dislike him and everyone would fight canelo given the chance. If he fought ggg everyone would be praising him. Him fighting canelo half the people is seeing him is chasing money which is nothing wrong with it.

                  Anyone but Brook obviously!

That's a more winnable fight, for more money, and would re-establish Khan in both UK and world boxing opening the doors for even bigger and better fights at 147.

But he won't take it as there is also a risk he might get beaten/KO'd off a UK fighter than hardly anyone knows. His ego won't let him risk that.

Easier to lose to a Canelo.

Going by what I've been reading, as a ratio of the number of comments posted, I'd say GGG took more flack when it was announced that he was fighting his IBF mando than Canelo is getting for this.

Maybe when people get over the shock, that will change.

But this is a fight that Canelo will get no credit for, whatever the outcome.
I think people are just shocked that Khan was willing to take this fight out of nowhere, zero or minimal build up to negotiations and ****! Plus, most people have to give credit where credits due and thats for Khan.
