      These are facts

      - 165 will slow Khan down both in his feet and hands.

      - Khan doesn't have anywhere near the footwork people are giving him credit for here.

      - Canelo will eat Khan's punches like candy.

      - Canelo has fought guys closer to his size that had both hand speed and foot speed. Canelo offsets that with excellent timing.

      - Khan has been BADLY hurt in several fights against guys not considered punchers. And damn near killed by actual punchers. He's never been hit with anything close to what Canelo will hit him with.

      - Watch Algieri vs Manny, and then watch Algieri vs Khan. The end.

DON'T HYPE THIS FIGHT. People seem to be falling for it already.

It is literally physically impossible to put on (lean muscle) weight fast enough for him to be a remotely competitive size.

Don't believe me? Read the science:

        http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/maki2.htm

"The Colgan Institute of Nutritional Sciences (located in San Diego, Calif.) run by Dr Michael Colgan PH.D., a leading sport nutritionist explains that in his extensive experience, the most muscle gain he or any of his colleagues have recorded over a year was 18 1/4 lbs. Dr Colgan goes on to state that "because of the limiting rate of turnover in the muscle cells it is impossible to grow more than an ounce of new muscle each day.""

If you honestly believed WBC was going to force anything, you haven't been paying attention to Floyd, Cotto or Manny's career. Like I've been saying since Canelo beat Cotto.

I for one am extremely interested in this fight and really believe that Virgil Hunter has a huge part to play here.
Khan has many detractors, but unbiased observers will note that, Peterson aside, you can count on the fingers of your hands the rounds he has lost being outboxed - he is simply a marvellous technician with a suspect chin.
So, on the face of it you'd say this is a great match up for a bigger guy who is a ****er, but I'm interested to know if Hunter can coach some of the machismo out of Khan and get him to exchange and escape - like Floyd did all his career (he didn't really 'fight' anyone, he boxed them) and if Hunter can manage to get Khan to understand that, then I give him a chance. He won't lose many exchanges at the right distance, it's about losing the machismo and getting on your bike like Floyd, or hugging like Ward, of course he can't win a slugfest with Canelo

Anyway, you have obviously made your mind up here but most people really love this fight, applaud Khan's courage for taking it (not like ducker Ward) and will enjoy an intriguing matchup

The problem isn't weight, it's a glass jaw. Khan speed hasn't prevented him from getting hurt previously, against slower guys. Algieri gave Khan as much as he could handle by walking through some of Khan's best work. Canelo is far more robust that Algieri and a much better boxer.

I'll be really surprised if Khan hear's the ninth bell.
