On Tuesday it was announced that Khan would face WBC middleweight champion Saul "Canelo" Alvarez on May 7th. The fight takes place at the brand new T-Mobile arena in Las Vegas. When Khan's only real advantage is his speed, it might not be that useful bulking him up too much. He's probably going to get sent to the moon anyway, but making him slower is only going to make it happen quicker.

Khan already lacks upper body movement, he stands upright and stiff.

You can add muscle in a good way while working on your rate of force development and explosiveness, but not this quickly.

Bad idea. Speed is Khan's best chance at winning. He can muscle up all he wants, he's gonna be the lil guy in the ring that night. All that's gonna do is make him slower. And lessen the only advantage he has against Canelo.
