Of course, the article says "no"...for anybody who's curious but doesn't feel like wasting a minute there.

    NO. NEVER.

Khan is a whiplash boy with a glass chin. His career is on the definite downside and Alvarez at 175lbs. on fight night is going to knock him around easily.

Yes, but it all depends how often he gets hit. If Khan speed troubles Alvarez to the point, where he is unable to counter him with combination punches as was the case in the Mayweather fight, then I will say yes.

He can easily pull off the upset victory just on work rate and punch output alone, because Canelo's work rate and footwork are very low and slow. He will have to try to cut the ring off against the taller, faster and quicker Amir Khan which could very well pose a difficult task for him.

Anything can and has happened in boxing, remember Douglas/Tyson? Remember Pacquiao/Oscar? Remember Tito/Hopkins?

        But it is unlikely.

          khan will win by points,
canelo will be left missing and punching the air,
khans speed in out style with the range and also clinching too,
          will leave canelo looking confused...

im not exactly a khan fan but you got to give him props for taking the fight and i just hope peeps dont underestimate khan

i actually think the extra weight will be better for khan

No. Khan has hand speed. His skills leave much to be desired. He can move his feet and legs quickly, but that's different from having good footwork. He can throw quick flurries, but that is different from good combination punching.

Alvarez is an unspectacular but solid fighter. He's a good counterpuncher, and certainly has enough timing and accuracy to catch Khan's shaky chin when Khan makes one of his many mistakes in the ring.

If they were of equal size, it'd be a better matchup. Canelo would still likely win that due to having the better chin, smarts, and overall skillset, but given the size difference, this is a mismatch.

            Khan will get stopped.

The thing is with this fight, Oscar's just being bashful and doesn't want to admit he's trying to (protect) maximize the value of his fighter by lining up a couple sure things for a payday. I hope Oscar's okay and has enough money for blow?

When I first heard this fight was happening I tried several different ways to envision a Khan win but the only one he won in was a scenario where he was able to tag Team with a prime Tyson when the bell rang. I bet Khan is dumb enough to believe he isn't cannon fodder.

              You can do better Canelo....

It's going to be very interesting to see how this all shapes out. One thing is for sure. You have to respect Khan for stepping up and taking this fight. Canelo Alvarez is a very dangerous opponent for anyone.

Bad examples. Douglas was at least a heavyweight not moving up several divisions, nor did he have a horrible chin. Hopkins was the man at 160. Oscar looked like garbage at 150 against Forbes (i don't know why people forget this) and hadn't fought at 147 in almost 8 years.

This would require more than a miracle
