I think overall, the boxing public expects more from Canelo than they expect from Garcia. Especially when GGG is willing to beat the shyt out of Canelo on PPV...in that sense, this is worse than Danny fight Salka.

salka was ranked at LW at the time of the garcia fight, and he wasn't anywhere near a fighter of khan's caliber. khan is a former champion, and a talented athlete. he's fast, and he's a sharp puncher. he's just got a bad chin, and now he's worn down from all of the wars.

how is fighting a top 10, former champion fighting in a division below you "close" to fighting an unranked club fighter with losses to guys outside of the top 200?


rod salka is one of the most undeserving challengers to a world title of all time. there's not a ton i can tell you if you can't look at the fighters and their records and see a gigantic gap in class.

khan's a former olympian, world champion, top 140 lber, genuinely talented athlete, etc. rod salka's ability and resume aren't in the same stratosphere.
