If you're managing Canelo, do you make his first true MW fight against GGG?Comment

Big name that he can almost certainly beat for several million dollars? Sounds like a win-win to me.Comment

1) Because it pays well and if he loses, no big deal, he's a heavy underdog anyway. And if by chance he wins, then his stock is massive. Same reason he wanted Manny and Floyd. He doesn't have that much to lose apart from the fight itself. But losing to Canelo isn't going to lose you much credibility is it?
2) Also, his team might be cashing out. If he isn't getting Floyd or Manny and he doesn't seem interested in fighting Brook, then Canelo must be the next biggest payday. Otherwise when do they make money off him? he's basically an inactive fighter and only interested in big fights, so they have to make something or nothing.
3) maybe his obsession with Floyd had landed him in the deep end with Canelo haha. Floyd telling him to go get some wins last week might have riled him up and went and picked the best common opponent ha. He's wacky enough and obsessed with Floyd enough to do it.
But to be serious, i'd say the truth is somewhere between 1 and 2Comment

No everybody knows GGG is an all-time great puncher and he could permanently wreck Richie Cunningham as a super star of boxing. It's rumoured that GGG turned the lights out on Kovalev and he has never been staggered in a major bout.
If GGG grabs another worthless trinket he will be slowly becoming Wlad with an impish grin. GGG can't force anybody to fight him if they have options to duck him. We have seen that for three years and counting.Comment

It's an easy money fight... Total mismatch but a lucrative one..
This honestly is a borderline freakshow fight, and it will be the train wreck no one can look away from..Comment
