For me this fight doesn't make any sense for either fighter, maybe financial sense but this fight is not relevant to either the middleweight or the welterweight divisions, after this fight what happens? Khan goes back to 147? Canelo stays at 160? How does this help Canelo prepare for GGG? Too many questions...

Can't get mad at khan for this. He went down the line until he landed a fight with a top star on PPV.

        Now Canelo, that's another story.

Good on him. He shows more balls than most. He always has for the most part.

I would of rather have seen Brook vs Khan (if possible), as i feel it's a much more competitive fight. I can't knock Khan for this fight though, he's really testing himself.

As for the fight itself, i'm not sure what to think. I don't see it being anything but a Canelo win.
Canelo has to have question marks on him for this one though IMO. Defending the MW title at 155, against a WW.

As a Kahn yes im am happy for him. Was rooting for him to get his big fight and he got it. Granted it is at MW but hey he thinks he can do it so more power to him.

As a Canelo fan this is just sad. He is supposed to be the MW champion of the world and the face of this sport. Yes he got a name fighter in there and the fight will do well but he dragged a WW up to face him. Thats not a good look and shows how desperate they are at GBP for opponents

How can a Khan fan be happy about this? He has no chance. He's going to get seriously hurt. Why would any fan want to see that?

Absolutely mad fight, but he's got nothing to lose really, either he gets beat by Canelo which is nothing to be ashamed about seeing as he's fighting a world class operator two weight divisions up
Or he unbelievably manages to get a win....
After this, I think the Brook fight will still be on the table even if he loses (unless Canelo actually breaks his chin...)

you are reaching. Name one fighter two weight classes above that brings half the money that Canelo brings?

                    i'll be waiting...

not a fan of either Kahn or Canelo but this is a sad fight... don't think for one second this is a fight for greatness for Khan... just a money/chashing out fight.

When you take a risk like this you deserve to be compensated for it. What's wrong with that? Khan could of got megabux fighting Brook. Dude is a warrior and for the next 3 months, I am team Khan because he behaves like a fighter should. I fully expect him to be knocked out within 5 but I will be rooting for him.
