Yeah, that's what I observed. It almost seemed like it diminishes their manhood/race when they see non-blacks dominate the scene.

The one thing I didn't notice at first was the worldwide consistency of it. I mean it's not only blacks in the US, but in Africa, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Haiti, etc.

I mean you won't see that with Asians, for example. A Japanese will most likely root for the other guy when there is a Chinese in the competition. A Malaysian, for example, won't automatically root for a Korean, Filipino, Chinese, etc.

For blacks it's almost like a constant obsession to prove your race is superior. Anything that disproves it is a let down.

Im a Messican American, and Ive said this once and I will say it many times. IMO, it does seem like a lot of NSB posters look for someone to beat "the black guy." Its pretty obvious when you have posters screaming for Andre Ward (of all people) head. Ward seems like one of the nicest/genuine guys you could ever meet but people want Kovalev to tear him apart. Why? I dont think we will ever here the true answer unless Donald Trump answers that question on behalf of the Kovalev fans.

It's pretty self-explanatory.. Ward's style puts you to sleep, it's dirty, and bad for boxing in general. He has hardly any fan base at all.. no surprise though

Well, I wasn't talking about you personally.

And aside from the people who assumed that I was a Manny fan, I've seen plenty of posts by others saying how much they hate GGG's fans here, how most of them are closet Manny fans who jumped ship after Manny lost to Floyd etc.

A few people constantly posting the same **** multiple times in every thread concerning a certain fighter, sometimes as alts, can create a false assumption, and a lot of resentment, among fans of that fighter who start believing that all the criticism he gets is racially motivated or driven by some other biased agenda

And as I said in my earlier post, that cuts both ways.

Well, to be fair, most of the very worst GGG fans jumped to him after May 2nd. Guys like you get lumped in with them and that's not really fair.

True, but most of the diehard Floyd fans do not have multiple alts. Also, the ones that stir up the most vile stuff have almost all been proven to be Manny fans alts.

You are correct that it goes both ways. But this thread is a perfect example of the BS some of us are pointing out.

The TS does the same thing he complains about, yet doesn't see himself as he does the "black" posters he says does the same thing.

LOL it's their only defense. I mean, opinions on Kovalev & GGG couldn't be more split. Most people think Kovalev is a top five pound for pounder and are looking forward to seeing him against Ward in a true superfight. Just because we don't buy the GGG hype doesn't mean it's an alabaster skin thing.

so true. In the GGG resume threads, people of all colors point out its trash. Posters like the TS, Mr. Fantastic, and others will focus only on criticisms from posters like you, me, PBP, slip, etc etc. and completely ignore all the other ones, then create the false narrative like the TS.
