He's at the end. Destroyed by Kovalev twice and life and death with Gonzalez.

Just find him a big fight to retire off of, wine or lose.

I bet Stevenson would still fight him

It was just not enough time for them. Pascal needs to train longer with Roach but against Kovalev hes never winning.Muscle memory needs more time for a change But Pascal seems to be past it anyway....so he better just retires.

His power is overwhelming and it includes the hardest jab in boxing. His left jab floored an on balance Pascal. It wasn't an off balance slip like the Canadian ref conveniently called it.
Kovalev hit Pascal coming in with his sledge hammer left jab and hurt him and knocked him on his ass. They replayed that knockdown several times and Pascal was on balance with both feet on the ground. Kovalev's left jab is as hard as many light heavyweight's strait right. Kovalev and GGG are the two best pound for pound punchers in boxing in my opinion. I think they will continue to KO anyone who has the courage to fight them.

Pascal felt some real world class alpha male russian power last weekend. It was a joy to watch him quit on his stool.

And if Ward loses in a brutal fashion, what will the excuse be?
"Oh he lost it, he ain't got it no more!"
"Ward is shot, Kovalev still needs to prove himself"

I can almost guarantee this will happen.. just like after Kovalev battered Bhop all 12 rounds. "he's 50 doe" but only a fool would compare hopkins to the average 50 year old smh, or even 40 year old for that matter

People dont give Pascal enough credit, he was never going to be a perfect boxer but he put on entertaining fights that was his style but he has more courage than a lot of these boxers who only fight for money. He fought this guy 2 times people dont even want to fight him once lol, yea he got paid nice but he could have quit after round 5 he was taking a beating, but he wanted to keep going for his fans just like he did in the Diaconu fight when he dislocated his shoulder and it had to be popped back into place multiple times he still went on to fight.

He also beat Chad Dawson when Dawson was the man at Light Heavyweight that was a good fight to watch I feel Dawson was coming on late and the cut ruined it but under the circumstances Pascal still got a legitimate W. He represents Canada and Haiti well and I think for the Haitians that's been their best champion to date considering hes fought some good fighters (Dawson, Diaconu, Froch, Hopkins, Bute)

Kovalev has good boxing skills with concussive power I dont know whos going to be able to stop him I think Andre Ward has the skills but im not sure he has enough punch to keep Kovalev off him hes just gonna walk him down but who knows Ward is more conservative than Pascal and will probably try to counter Kovalev but regardless its going to be a tough fight and unless he can make Sergey respect his punch I dont see him winning.

Yeah it takes time for a boxer and trainer to gel. It takes time for a trainer to really assess their fighters; their strengths, their weaknesses, etc. That's why most of the top fighters today usually only had 1-3 trainers at most.

Obviously Roach was not going to drastically improve Pascal in one fight, and there are a lot of things a trainer cannot change in a boxer.

Now I can understand why Hopkins didn't want engage that much with Kovalev and was often backpedaling. I wonder how Ward or Stevenson is going to handle Kovalev's power.
