IF Ward looks good in his next fight, I'm going to be making a lot of bets when this fight comes around.

Ward is too seasoned, well schooled and too good to get dominated by anybody. Having said that I favor Kovalev because of the huge difference in power. Skill for skill they are about even but kovalev's punches are 100x harder. Ward's better defensively but for him to win he will need to throw a lot of punches and make kovalev respect him. This however will put ward in a disadvantage, he will have to fight kovalev off him and that's a battle he cant win given their respective punching powers.

Pacquiao and Matthysse destroyed Mayweather and Garcia, respectively. Because they hit hard.

I think Ward may somehow nullify Kovalev. But I think Beterbiev's style is the worst thing for ward -- even if Beterbiev doesn't have enough ring experience right now.

I agree. I cant wait to see Beterbiev enter the big scene which is about to happen for him. He is like the sleeping giant right now but he is an inch away from being right in the elite mix. By the way, thanks for the holiday greeting last month!

Andre Ward has wasted his boxing career losing $$$$$

Problem with Andre Ward is that Ward has greatly overvalued his net worth and value to boxing. Ward with few fans and is boring and acts white and a gentleman and speak clearly like an intelligent person angers a Bernard Hopkins. Ward not fighting in like 3 years also ticks off the boxing promoters. Ward is a great fighter who never fights. Hop is just angry Hop cannot speak like Ward-intelligently and no slang.

The fight might be a good test for Kovalev but it would definitely be an ugly fight for the fans. Lot of holding, headbutts and elbows because thats the way Ward would try to negate Kovalevs power.. Nothing wrong with it, that's boxing these days. Just not a fan friendly fight.

Floyd cheated before the fight with IV's and he cheated in the ring with headlocks and bearhugs while Pac was denied medication for an actual injury.

Matts got caught in the eye with something on the side of Garcia's glove, Garcia cheated in the fight with multiple lowblows and got a KD when Matts was defenseless while tangled up in the ropes.

Both guys refused any consideration of a rematch to erase any doubts. The similarities are scary.......both managed by Hymen too.....

BOTH were over-hyped, which is why BOTH fell way short of expectation.
