Am I seeing things or was iron-jawed Pascal knocked down by a jab by Kovalev?

I'd have the Americans winning all those fights and would be willing to bet (epoints) on it.

I think pascals an idiot. He stayed right at the end of kovalev's punches all night and didn't use hardly any angles.

There's been fights before where fighters have been knocked down with hard jab.....benitez was dropped by sugar ray leonard by a hard jab in there fight.....kovalevs are thudding ramrod jabs and if you walk onto one and hits you on the point of the chin it can easily drop u.......every punch kovalev lands must hurt .....he's a beast

I'll take you on with kovalev and ward no problem.....I think Crawford and wilder beats the others...but ward gets his head handed to him on a platter....100% lets have a bet

Solid jab, but Pascal was not hurt I dont think (though it should have been counted as a KD)
It wasn't a slip. Kov just countered his jab. He stepped in and was planted firmly with both feet, but it was a perfectly timed, strong counter that just took him off guard. Obviously stepping into it made it even more powerful (but that's what perfect timing is all about) and that's why it got him off his feet, but it was a very clean knockdown without any slippage.

He ran into Kovalev's stiff jab. I could tell it was a legit KD live. I don't know how the ref missed it, looking right at it. Not that it mattered. Pascal's spirit was shattered from it anyway.

On a side note: KOvalev P4P number 1? He is in my mind anyway.

Side note 2: Things looking awful grim for American boxing now, and will look even worse once all their best fighters come out of witness protect and fight their rivals>>>

              Wilder vs Povetkin
              Crawford vs Postol
              Ward vs Kovalev

Not looking good for the USA at all.

Definitely was a KD for sure.

Crawford will beat Postol doe......too many facets to his game. Killa Kov will freaking break Ward to bits....dude knows this and will make sure something prevents it from going down.

No slip here. No "slippery advertisement", just a plain old knockdown.

He's dropped like 4 of his recent opposition with a jab.....very consistent, consistently powerful.

When you fight Kov you must be ready for the pain, cause every punch he throws hurts.
I use to think Ward could just slip the jab and come up top with the left hook but there's a good chance Kov steps back then either throws an off handed jab that could drop u stepping or Ward could smother the power but be at risks of being leaned on thus sapping his strength.
Kova is just a nasty brute that works the human anatomy like a mad scientist. Will be tough to beat but Ward has the tools and a utility belt with skills.

Gene's body language tells the story. There is no slip. His legs lock up, and he looks confused like he just got concussed again. I think that first fight with Krusher made him perpetually concussed.
