Its unfortunate that Luis Ortiz and Golden Boy had to settle on this opponent. But with the fight be scheduled to be in 5 weeks this was expected.

A lot of the higher ranked guys either wanted more time or more money. Unfortunately Ortiz doesn't have either on his side right now.

HBO and Golden Boy have a lot that they want to invest in Ortiz and they can't afford to wait on the right guy to step up.

Ortiz has this guy then a mandatory that's due by June. Hopefully after that he fight a Top 5 Heavyweight.

So Ortiz is planning to fight in March and June; if he makes quick work of them, he might be able to fight 4 times this year.
