You guys keep saying PBC hasn't created stars, but how long has PBC been active?

Let's look at who's in the queue for PBC as the next generation of stars:

    Errol Spence Jr
    Jamaal James
    Erickson Lubin
    Sammy Vasquez Jr
    Beterbiev
    Marcus Browne
    Charlo Bros
    Edwin Rodriguez
    Robert Easter Jr
    Omar Figuroa
    Jamel Herring
    Carl Frampton
    Gary Russel Jr
    Jacobs
    Dirrel Bros

And that's not even counting your Garcia's, Thurman's, Porter's Khan's, Broner's, Wilder's, etc, etc... I can go on for days.

I can see why HBO would not want to negotiate with him or pay him anymore.
Walked away from what? Exactly what dotted line are you even referring to? K2 walked away from the fight

His guys fight meaningless fights then sit out 9 months to be forgotten about completely. As bad as someone like GGG competition is at his weight class at least he's on every 4 months and keeping his face and name in the public eye...
Cmon man. I know you're smarter than this. By ''Haymon'' do you mean pre-PBC Haymon? or PBC?

PBC is 2015 and the rating metrics are getting better. An advent new boxing platform which is at a premature stage compared to the MLB, NBA, NFL, etc.. As all brands, they have to grow.

Start with this logic first before even bringing up ''stars''

Pre PBC guys were bigger "stars" then they are now IMO... Guys like Garcia were on a roll on showtime....if Thurman were a Top Rank or GBP fighter he'd be a star and already fought Bradley/Pac etc.... I understand they're trying to build a brand but boxing will never be on par with the NFL or MLB or even the NBA.. He can't afford to put on garbage shows and expect the numbers to grow and networks to jump on board after the time buys are up..

Because there are posters that will use any opportunity to deride Haymon, Mayweather, and anyone/anything associated to them regardless of who's at-fault.

Also, HBO takes the initiative in creating the narrative. The comments from the announcing team were clearly part of the HBO agenda to take the spotlight off of Stevenson and what had just taken place and place it on Ward-Kovalev. Listen to their comments after the post-fight interview and you'll understand the agenda.

No. The fight was formally agreed too. In the end it was Stevenson who decided to walk away and move to Showtime.

Again, you're referencing pre-PBC. As long as the platform grows PBC becomes bigger, more development in scouting prospects. It's going to grow. Don't focus on ''stars.'' It's not like every fan of a sports league follows each team and all its players crying that not everyone is a star... I don't hear people crying that the last car in a Formula One spree isn't a star! =P Don't over complicate sports branding, especially new unorthodox ways.

At least with Showtime, they attempt to negotiate to give the fans what they want. HBO has zero flexibility and refuses to budge in negotiations. It wouldn't be as bad if they didn't throw in "He's duckin doe" at the end.

So why is it HBO's way or the highway?
I dislike getting involved in network beefs, which is just rubbish but all of Haymon, Showtime and HBO have been involved in turning boxing into a joke. In this particular case, HBO/Duva/Kovalev are at fault, considering they turned down the purse bids, which would have made the fight last year. Period.

You see... there we go people.

Dude, you're talking about 2014. Most of boxing fans reference 2015 and Kathy Duva literally stating no interest in the 50/50 split....

                      where have you been?
