At this point I don't think Ward can beat Krusher.

He's gonna make him come down 7 pounds? That's probably his best chance of winning...

Bbbbut but but Ward is the best fighter since Floyd Mayweather?
Why does he need a tune-up, did he not just have one at catchweight against some bum at 172lbs?
      Hmmmm... lots of excuses.

Kovalev hits harder than most heavy weights. 8 lbs is a good start. Make Kovalev fight with 30 ounce gloves! Then he can tie him up frustrated him, and Dawson him

Let's celebrate one of the best P4P fighters on the planet, Sergey Kovalev!
lmfao, have people forgotten about the super six??? or how he cleaned out 168?

sure, ward had the hometown advantage in most of his fights but he rarely lost a round so there is no reason to suggest the outcomes would have been different

kovalev too big, too strong, too determined, too nasty, too skilled
your description of ward's assets reminds me of a certain fighter named floyd joy and he did pretty good for himself...

I think ward is a great counterpuncher and even though it's not stingy, his jab is excellent at what a jab is supposed to do: disrupt timing, set up power shots and keep opponents at desired punching range. it's not the most powerful jab in the sport but it's an educated jab if u will

the only way I see ward losing to kovalev is if his timing is off and if he bulks up, which are indeed risk factors due to his inactivity. I'd have to gauge his next performance to determine that tho

did you watch the fights? he easily could have been dq'd for all the holding he did against kessler and bika. that's a pretty different outcome. throw in the headbutts, elbows, and ducking below the waist and you have an even better case. maybe if he was fighting in someeone elses hometown they would have let him get away with that as well but it would have been less likely and hence more risky. cheaters usually don't like to travel because they have that comfortable safety net at home. just knowing that you can get away with nonstop cheating has to boost your confidence and on the flip side if you know you can't cheat that's gotta effect you negatively.

Kovalev is the favourite but it would be naive to completely rule out Ward's chances.

Both guys would be fighting the best fighter they have ever fought.

I think first we should establish the imagery of ''footwork'' and defense before contextualizing Pascal Kova II.

Its pretty clear hes trying to stay away from anyone with a pulse.
Unbelievable. You would never have thought Ward has SIGNED A CONTRACT to fight Kovalev. The fight is clearly happening (barring a upset loss), this isn't like the Stevenson situation.
