At this point I don't think Ward can beat Krusher.

Prime Ward might have had a chance. That slight chance isn't there anymore though. Ward's past it and fighting at a higher weight class now. We don't even know how he looks at 175 yet.

If Ward thought he had a chance he would have taken this fight already.. Wards taken a lot of tough fights in his career, but he always thought he was the better fighter, vs kovolev he doesn't have the same confidence, and he is shook
My man, you're usually a solid poster but this very spoonish of you

If the skills are still there, Ward will be fine. His transition to 185, I suspect will be smooth due to the fact that guy walks around at about 180-190. Ward by 12 RD UD in a very clear victory.

Kovalev uses undetected Eastern European steroids, just like Golovkin. They both are frauds and bad for the sport!!

We know when Ward is in vs guys with power he looks to clinch alot.
I dont see Kovalev allowing that, he will keep working or break free.
And how will Ward react to the power? Im pretty sure that jab that dropped Pascal may have also broken his nose.
Add that with inactivity and poor opposition of late and it looks grim for Ward.

Fair enough,,, kovolev's size, power, and underrated handspeed will be too much for Ward.

Ward will win some rounds and be more competitive than hopkins, but kovalev will drop him at least once, and Ward would look to survive and make it an ugly fight by clinching.. Ward will be too much on the defensive.. Kovalev throws nice straight shots and also hits the body extremely well. Ward isn't a brutal counterpuncher like marquez or toney and won't be able to have enough firepower to keep sergey honest..
Ward is really good at a lot of things, but he isn't great at anything.. Not a great puncher, not a great defender, not a great jab, not a great counterpuncher.. He is good but not great..
kovalev too big, too strong, too determined, too nasty, too skilled

ward is a great manipulator but kovalev is a great boxer. you never say after kovalev wins a fight hmmm that was a lot of holding/headbutting or wow the ref really effed up. kovalev's skill should be enough to overcome wards manipulation of the fight.

I gotta see Ward actually fight a live body at 175 to be honest. Right now I have Kovalev as the favorite. The guy is mean man, he likes punishing people.

Ward has an excellent jab maybe even better than Kovalev's but I don't think he's the better fighter.
