At this point I don't think Ward can beat Krusher.

If Ward struggles even a little bit with Barerra he moves back down to 168 and avoids Kovalev...

What contract? He said his team is working on it. That means there is no contract.

Kovalev has to much strength , reach , power and nastiness for a semi retired Andre ward who deep down lacks the desire to put himself in danger again in the ring....if ward can't boss you in close then he can be beaten ....that's why ward was so good at supermiddlweight...he was just naturally bigger and stronger than the kesslers and frochs.....it's different with kovalev he just has that aura of menace and he just hunts you down and his frame is so long......really lets be fair if that was ward last night we would be reading ward decisions pascal but pascal had his moments in there.....last night pascal was simply overpowered and beasted in there ...I can see kovalev taking wards best shots and gradually wearing him down with his jab and body shots.......I cannot see how ward can keep kovalev at bay, he don't have the power to hurt him...he's not a dancer so he can't keep his distance and he can't out jab because Sergey has the same reach...... I HONESTLY THINK WARD DONT HAVE THE HEART FOR IT ANYMORE AND THATS BECAUSE HE HAS BEEN SO INACTIVE AND HAS BECOME USE TO CIVVY STREET AND DAYS BEHIND THE HBO DESK WHERE ITS LESS RISK......Ward wanted golovkin because he knew he was naturally much bigger than him and fairy the best chance of beating him and earning his retirement fund in the process...... A fighter who weighs a minimum 172 at weigh in to a fighter who weighs 169 weigh has a big advantage.......don't count this Barrera to cause an upset as well...

        WAR KOVALEV

No it doesn't, he just didn't confirm whether he wants 1 or 2 fights before Kovalev but that don't mean there's no contract.

He literally said it's a matter of when rather than if and that they both have to keep winning which makes sense for a pre-agreement. That's Ward's end, how about the other side?

Kovalev never has anything bad to say about Ward like with Stevenson, Duva is the same and also confirms the fight will happen later this year.

How much more reassurance do you need?

              PERIOD.
Should be good, Hopkins-like perhaps. I think he can stop Ward too. Ward won't be able to bully Krusher in any fashion possible. He could end up getting smacked around the ring like a hoe.

Kovalev is a top 5 P4P fighter for good reason, but when the time comes, Ward will take his 0.

Kovalev has certain flaws that a fighter with the caliber and defense of Ward will be able to exploit including SK's constant reaching. Ward will also test Kovalev's inside fighting ability... We'll see how strong Kovalev is when Ward puts his head in his chest and smothers him.

What I like about Kovalev is his general movement, and his body is the seasoned LHW. Kovalev has the power of Cruiser. Heavy? Not too sure. Kovalev's figure to me looks scrawny, but he's all muscle, and he's able to fly his weight. Add more muscle and I'm curious if his power stays consistent. Stevenson has thumping power of a cruiser, especially that Left, and Stevenson's also deadly fast.

I hope to see Kova or Stevenson at Heavyweight. cause imo, James Toney got the bigger balls.

Ward says alot of things, doesn mean any of it is true. We are still waiting for him to beat a Klitschko. I can guarantee, that when Kovalev says no to Oakland, Ward will pull out.

Only clueless wanker, clouded by hate would completely wright Ward off.

Pascal is shot to **** and Kovalev's win last night can't be used as a barometer to how Kovalev would perform against Ward.

If Ward is anywhere near his best, he has every chance to beat Kovalev.
