Groves doesn't look great to be honest, since the first Froch fight he's lost something and doesn't look as powerful. In that first fight his right hand was something special.
Yeah I agree. There's no explosiveness there. His right hands look limp.

Yeah, he was always known as a big puncher. Put Froch down and hurt him a few times in that fight. Since then his power seems to have disappeared. I don't think it's a case that his power was overrated either, i think he was definitely a hard puncher.

He seems a lot less sluggish tonight then has has in his past few fights though. He just needs to knock this guy out as any decent puncher should be able to.

Never fade the plays of the Gif man - I called it 5 rounds.

He was done but he definitely wanted out. Those last punches barely landed.

I don't think he's sitting down on his punches and hurting opponents like he used to. He seems to be throwing a lot of wide shots and jumping in recklessly.

I swear Groves was faster, more explosive, had better head movement and snap on his punches. These days he looks a light puncher, really ponderous with a seriously undeveloped right hand.

He really has been Cobra'd. He is 27 shockingly he looks like an old 37 to me.

He looks so flat even at this level.

I see a lot of hesitation now from Groves. It's like he doesn't trust his power anymore and doesn't think he can just blast someone out like he could in the past. He's too afraid to sit on his punches because of the fear of being countered.

It's a mental hurdle he has to overcome to get back to the top level.

He should fight Martin Murray next to see where he stands.
