Has there ever been a boxer who has publicly declared that he's going to kill his opponent in the ring? and if there was, what were the media reactions or repercussions?

If a boxer said something like this to promote a fight and the opponent actually died or got severely injured, could he be facing charges for murder/murder intent?

I suspect Kovalev will say something like this in the future, once he has to face someone that actually pisses him off like Stevenson or Beterbiev
