TONEY "When I was cracking Rahman he couldn’t take my shots doing the Yankee Dooddle"

Does anyone have the full interview?

I say Toney is on crack!

JAMES "LIGHTS OUT" TONEY SPARES NO ONE
    By Darren Nichols

"The referee Eddie Cotton, and the judge John Stewart were all high, constipated, whatever. Everybody at Top Rank, they’re all ball-less. When I was cracking Rahman, he couldn’t take my shots. You all saw him doing the Yankee Doodle Doo."

It can be said that there is no one like James "Lights Out" Toney. But that would be trite, and a vast understatement to boot. James is well, James. He can say "excuse me" for coughing half way through a sentence in which he is cussing out a "garbage" fighter and his pregnant wife. It is as though he has a little white angel and red devil on each shoulder, and since they are constantly battling each other for supremacy, James decides to say and do things that make both sides of his conscience happy. Toney stays true to himself that way, which makes for an extrememly entertaining interview. btalk caught up with Lights Out this past weekend on ESPN's Friday Night Fights put on by Goossen Tutor for a little round table discussion about his March 18th draw again Hasim Rahman, why he wants to fight him again, why he was in the hospital for two and a half weeks after their fight, and why he has a beef with some of the biggest names in boxing. I know I've said this before, but THIS IS TRULY ONE INTERVIEW YOU DO NOT WANT TO MISS!!!

toney lacks the power in the hw division. he is just relying on his boxing skills.

but when u have skills like his, power is not really needed, look at bryd who had held his HW title for about 4 years now. And Holyfild, who is an All time great, rahman says Toney hits harder them him.

The bottom line regarding the power is that Rahman and many others said for weeks leading up to the fight that Toney wasn't a real Heavyweight and that Rock's size and power would overwhelm Toney.

Then the bell rings and Rahman's plan is to not fight Toney and to not throw his right hand (his best punch) in fear of being counterd.

Anyone who thinks that fight was a robbery has no idea how rounds are scored.

Toney's shots were cleaner and more effective, and they were powerfull enough they had Rahman reluctant to fight the entire way.
