is amir khan a wasted talent??

he was more of a physical talent (minus the chin) as oppose to an actual boxing skill talent.
khan had the size, reach, speed, looks but was lacking in the fighting intellect department.Comment

Every time he gets hit he has to hit back immediately. He can't stay cslm and he gets himself in trouble. Absolutely correct on ring IQ.
He's a wasted talent because he never fights. He's spent years sitting around waiting for Mayweather or Pacquiao.Comment

Never said he didn't have heart but he doesn't think at times. He has a game plan and once he loses concentration he is all over the place.
Hitting when he gets hit good is not the smartest idea most of the time especially with the chin that he possesComment

A decent contender at 140, some decent wins, but nothing 'great' as 140 wasn't that great. Unified titleholder but never the champion. Knocked senseless by the man who turned out to be the 140 champion
Pretty much a joke run at welterweight so far. It's Brook-level bad.
I don't think he's wasted talent though. I just don't think he has the tools to do any better. He's done very well despite an awful recovery rate and a pretty low ring IQComment

When Khan gets hurt, he stays hurt. He was hurt for a whole round against Maidana, and went down early in the 4th after going down and getting hurt in the third against Garcia.A decent contender at 140, some decent wins, but nothing 'great' as 140 wasn't that great. Or the Garcia fight. People kind of forget that he took a huge punch, but still got up and ended the fight on his feet wanting to fight on.Comment
