He has the speed,he took maidanas punchs, but still has a skeptikal chin, but he does have skill. He's not getting any younger and doesn't seem to want to fight anyone really. What do ye think??
He has bundles of talent combined with one of the worst things you could have in boxing: weak chin.

I don't think he has the talent to be a good champion. He obviously has a weak chin and poor recovery from being hurt. A good champion has to be at least reasonably rugged or have a great defense and Khan has neither of these assets. He can't handle heavy pressure and his response to it is to hold or push instead of throwing leather back. He has had too many close fights with guys that aren't that good like Algieri and Diaz. Guys that Thurman, Brook or Porter would easily beat. He got crushed by mediocre Prescott in 60 seconds of the first round and never tried to avenge that humiliating defeat. He lost to Peterson while Bradley won every round from Peterson and dropped him. Since Garcia knocked him out Khan has avoided hard punching welterweights with fast hands. I think Khan has done about as good as he can do with his weaknesses and flaws. He will lose to the best welterweights like Thurman, Bradley, Porter, Spence and Pacquiao and he might lose again to Garcia. Khan can beat some boxers but not the best ones. That's just my opinion and if Khan starts fighting the best again I will be proven right or wrong.

What I realizes about Khan is he has money outside of boxing so he is only going to fight if it makes sense. I wouldn't call it wasted talent because why take punches if you don't have to?

I think he believed in his own hype too much and never trained as seriously as he needed. Only doing his training during training camp whereas it should be year round.

Tried to be too exciting when maybe it wasn't best for his chin. Garcia took advantage by saying Pakistanis cant fight.
But when he is cautious he is very good. So he is wasted in that he could have done more. Same with Floyd though. As good as Floyd is he could have done more.

No, he's just not that good.

He's always been style over substance. Other than his chin, he has poor defense, no inside game, leaves himself wide open when he throws, is predictable, and doesn't look good on the back foot.

I would say for the last 1-2 years while chasing Mayweather he has!

yes he has incredible handspeed but he lacks power AND chin and if you don't have either of them, there's a limit to what you can do.

Won an olympic medal and a couple of world titles, plus made a very good living from the sport, he was a success considering his tools imo.

                    khan has solid power

hurt maidana. hurt paulie. two were very durable guys.

he's gotten respect from basically everybody he has fought. the only time guys can walk to him without worrying about what's coming back is when he's hurt or he's been slowed down to the body.

The guy is a unified champion with wins over Judah, Maidana, Malignaggi, Kotelnik, Alexander and arguably Peterson to, with both Bradley and JMM openly refusing to fight him and in a few months, may become a two weight champion by beating either Garcia or Brook, both of whom are well ranked fighters in his chosen division.

At 28 years of age, he's done more than most fighters of his generation.
