What will GBP do with Khan after Canelo KO's him?

    Serious question
    Is that your official prediction?

Because he is a boxer that fought a boxing match on television in the United States of America. In the United States of America they use a system called "Nielsen Media" which measures the viewership of television programming.

Amir Khan has failed to produce significant viewership on the 3 events I cited.

Does that make sense to you? Simple enough?

No big loss to Haymon and good for Khan getting a big payday.
No big loss Haymon was counting on Khan and so were these PBC fans to help boost these PBC ratings. So not only is Garcia vs Khan now off the books which hurt PBC because they will have to fill out a PBC card with a lesser star/draw but more importantly he went to not just some random promoter. He signed a contract BEHIND Haymon's back to his biggest enemy promoter who happens to be suing him for hundreds of millions and who will air this fight not on some random network but HBO who he currently bans his fighters from fighting on. Khan vs Canelo will be a huge PPV making Golden Boy and HBO his 2 biggest enemies countless millions. Losing at least 1 big payday from Khan on PBC and giving your enemy a big payday is a big deal. Especially on the heals of numerous financial reports that state PBC investors are in big trouble. This is literally the worst time Khan could of jumped ship. PBC is hanging on by a thread with only 2 official shows on the horizon (an alltime low in the PBC era) DESPITE the fact they already paid up front millions for numerous time buys that they can't even afford to use. It's not like they get their money back if they don't use up these paid time slots. But they are too expensive and generate multi million loses each event and the CEO from his investors just said....

Chief executive Hank Herrmann said the company has struggled with customer withdrawals and a volatile stock market. He also promised cost cutting to help boost earnings.

“In addition to market challenges, we have had to manage increased redemption pressure and weaker sales in some of our key strategies due in part to under performance in these funds. In light of lower levels of assets under management, we are evaluating operating expenses to align our cost structure with revenues,” Herrmann said in the announcement.

Does that sound like PBC can operate under the same frivolous spending they had in 2015? That statement explains exactly why you see less PBC shows and numerous ones being shipped to Showtime they are cutting costs. How is PBC going to increase it's crappy TV ratings with less shows and less money for these shows from it's investors? And now lost one of the biggest names on PBC.

I believe so considering how Khan has been seriously hurt by Prescott, Julio Diaz, Maidana, and Danny Garcia. I believe Canelo hits harder than all of them and is much bigger.

I assume most of the posters here are male boxing fans but the way they jump to hysterical conclusions makes me think they could be girls. My ex-gf's were exactly like that lol.

Haymon played a part in the deal as he should have to get his client the most $$$. It is exactly what he has always done.

                • And Dan Rafael who was first to break the story for this fight says otherwise. He was the media member that Golden Boy or Khan camp leaked the info to first about this fight.

                  Dan Rafael

I am told Haymon had nothing to do with Canelo-Khan deal. Deal done with Khan and is father. #boxing #CaneloKhan

And Khan's own father came out last year and said the same thing Dan is saying today said point blank he was negotiating a fight with Manny without Haymon. Something Manny's own manager confirmed that Haymon was not part of any of their discussions. I think this is more semantics to try and save face for Haymon. Clearly it's not in his best interest to advise Khan to fight Manny on HBO without his involvement or to fight on a golden boy card (who is suing him for like 300 million) on HBO no less. My guess when he tries to spin it as I was involved he means they gave me a heads up they were going elsewhere not necessarily that Haymon had any choice in the manner or power to block it. Khan's father said the way Khan's deal is with haymon he can't prevent them from making a side deal with someone else. And clearly Khan's father was right.

Yeah didnt care if he left or stayed but i knew Al was going to be involved. He just stayed under radar to get Khan the fight and not let "feelings" get in the way. Fight is a mismatch on paper but will do big business. Im actually excited for it

I am wiling to bet that no other manager or advisor in boxing would operate in this manner. Put their own ego/feelings aside and make the best deal for their client however it needs to be done.

                      Good stuff.
