Wilder is the A side and Povetkins team needs to understand that.

A side **** doesnt matter in mandatory defense especially when the challenger's promoter has a deep pocket. They can just stand by their ground and wait for the purse bid.

He wasn't made to wait. The WBC announced in June of 2015 that negotiations will begin in October of 2015 and the fight will take place in January 2016. Povetkin was supposed to fight Wilder two weeks ago but instead he choose to schedule a fight in November and he told the WBC he wouldn't be ready for the fight in January.

That's the story that was put out in the US, but not what Povetkin said when interviewed.

According to him it was Wilder who wanted to take another voluntary, the WBC going along with it.

End of the day, pressure is now on the WBC.

Haymon will probably try to do the Martin fight and avoid Povetkin. If he does that Wilder and Haymon become the biggest clowns in boxing.

Nah, I actually like Wilder. I too think he would take the Povetkin fight, or any fight really. It's all Haymon, who has done everything in his power to ruin the sport of boxing in the past couple years.

Wilder ain't going to Russia and the Pov not no USA

Wilder as champ ain't travelling to that frozen miserable tundra of communist Russia where the people live miserable lives and freedom is hated and God is unknown. And Povie sure as the Kremlin ain't coming to the land of Freedom and strong religious worship and happy people living free. So no fight is happening.
