If he vacates I'm switching from big Wilder fan to big Wilder hater.

That is true usually. It could be that Martin won the IBF belt too late, AFTER the WBC had already ordered negotiations between Haymon and Ryabinski to begin.

I know what you mean, but if this happens, it will be Haymon's doing, not Wilder's.

I actually feel a little sorry for Wilder. I think he's up for fighting Povetkin, or anybody.

The PBC HW champ needs that 0.

Wilder is the A side and Povetkins team needs to understand that.

Purse bids should only happen when Haymon has more money than the other side.

I would be surprised if this happened.

I would rather see a fighter get outstanding defenses out of the way and then attempt to unify, generally, btw.

Why would Wilder drop the WBC belt though, he speaks of it as if it's his baby, and it's a superior belt to the IBF title anyway, imo.

Fight Povetkin, if you win, you are crowned the real deal, and there is even more hype for both the Martin and Fury fights. Sounds like a no brainer to me.

My ideal scenario is Wilder beats Povetkin in a title defense, then takes Martins belt in a unification bout, while Fury puts Wlad in an ambulance and then fights Ortiz.
