It is a business and all about branding. Marketing yourself. this a calculated decision to ensure a canelo showdown happens. Smart business move. Lara is a risk. Fight him after you unify. And have a the biggest and most coveted pay per view fight in boxing right now. Make the most money as possible and by default have the most amout of eye balls watching. Canelo will not take a tough fight either to ensure the ggg fight happens for the same reason; most earning potential right now. I'd do it too. You would be be bad business decision not to. Plus your promoter would prevent it or at least make it tough.

Smart business move by whom? The IBF ordered this crappy mando, not team Ggg

Well it's mandatory, really wish they'd pay him and get him out of the way with a check but that's unlikely to happen.

bru i dont know if u've noticed but canelo/golden body has not intentions to fight him..the wbc is very small fish to canelo..cotto will get another shot before ggg that is just the truth bru..ggg is wasting his career on canelo when he could be bigger than danny garcia for the PBC..if ggg could bring in 2.5 his star power would raise up heavy.

i see wade not taking the fight..it is too early for him then again it could be his largest pay by far...
if he does not i wonder if n'dam will get the shot form the ibf since he is next in the rankigns
