That'd be the last time you'd see any bluff purse bids made in bad faith, with the sole intention of getting the rightful champion stripped.
I don't think the snake will even put in a bid for this. He knows HBO would not allow him to get Golovkin stripped of his IBF belt.

ok. That isn't helping with the IBF naming Wade his mandatory.

Me too. I'm pretty confident Peter Nelson won't allow Haymon to strip their champions with purse bids. Nelson has personal connections high high up in HBO's management, so he can get away with certain things, additionally HBO's allowed special permission for fighters like Pernell Whitaker to fight on Showtime.

Let Haymon burn through more of his hedgefund money to put on a very one-sided fight. Then after that we can talk Golovkin's next mandatory - Danny Jacobs.

hbo would have no say in the matter if it goes to a bid nothing is changing..im sure 3 million is the hightest hbo woulde back and they wouldnt want to do that..if they dont let him leave hbo then he stripped and that belt will belong to pbc more than likely..

I don't think Haymon/PBC would waste money on this. Would he really pay GGG handsomely to body-bag one of his prospects on prime-time TV? Of course not.
