Is GGG vs Lara a PPV fight?

If Lemieux can do 150K (or 97k depending on who you believe) I'm sure GGG vs Lara can do 250k. Lemieux's fight against N'dam was shown on Fox Sports 2. That's not a typo. I didn't know there was a Fox Sport 2 either. It was watched by less than 100k. Nobody knew of Lemieux. I'm sure he has family member who search google for their last name and are surprised to find out their cousin is a professional boxer. Lara numbers on Spike and ESPN did better numbers than that. Lara in a PPV, as the B-side, has shown he can do respectable numbers. A purse similar to Lemieux's would be reasonable for Lara.

Don't believe what Abel Sanchez said. Monroe Jr is not a bigger name than Lara. I'll buy the fight. Would you?

I would spend $200 for a Charles Martin PPV!

It sells more than GGG/Lemieux for sure.

Hopefully they'll put it on at a time where there isn't also a playoff matchoff going on between the Cubs and the Mets.

      No it's not.

Canelo usually does very good ratings and alot of PPV buys and the Lara fight by far did the lowest buys.

Lara barely has any fans, his last fight vs Zaveck did very bad ratings.

No way this fight can be on PPV. Lemieux is exciting, Lara is just boring.

Sure, if that fight is $49.99 like the Lemieux one was, then I'm for it.

            Of course it is.

Just set the price at 1 million per single PPV and every single Lara fan will buy it.

8 million from PPV alone would be a huge financial success IMO.

Nope. Why are people even mentioning Lara as if he poses some type of threat to GGG . He would get smashed to bits and forced to quit. To be honest there isn't many PPV worthy fights out there right now, not enough names in the sport with established recognition to generate enough interest to produce alluring PPV buys.

I don't think it's a PPV fight by any means because I don't believe Lara is marketable because of his style. I do think this is an interesting fight however and believe the contrast in styles would play into the outcome. Lara is no slouch and has excellent boxing skills and is a southpaw.

I think a common opponent with Canelo would be a good measuring stick heading into September. And Lara would be the best scalp on GGG's resume. GGG has fought other fighters who posed no threats to him.
