Which is wrong. They've done business with more than one and I've explained that.

    Now give up.

But the main point is HBO offered a Haymon fighter a fight.
If anything this could simply switch the HBO ban of Haymon to a Haymon fighter ban of HBO. Clearly there is issues between HBO & Haymon I think its safe to say.

        Sure, that's possible as well.

But in regard to GGG, he's met his 4 fight minimum obligated contractual agreement with HBO as of Monroe Jr. HBO has let GGG fight Adama outside their network while he was signed to their network. During fight negotiations, anything's possible from both sides.

The point of the thread is although Haymon and HBO have had issues, there relationship isn't strained that much to where Loeffler and Haymon can't at least negotiate.

Loeffler has even been open to negotiating with Haymon on a fight by fight basis.

But sure, I understand your point that it could be a two way street.

With Haymon and HBO standing down. Does Jacobs really want to fight Golovkin?
To the best of my knowledge, Jacobs says he wants fair money to face GGG.

What fair money is remains to be seen until the two sides negotiate.

I don't even see this as a K2 thing at all. I think Peter Nelson brings a regime change & I believe he might be wary at first based on the previous regimes & Haymon's soured relationship, but I feel like HBO & Haymon will have a new future together with Nelson in & Hershman out.

This thread is ****** and we're 13 pages in and you're still way off base.

Re: Adama. HBO holds the right (not the obligation) to air Golovkin's fights in America. That is why no other American TV station could pick up the Adama fight even though HBO passed.

PPVs don't count against the renewed 4-fight deal. He's still under contract.

Any middleweight in the world would be a massive underdog vs. GGG right now. Also, losses set a fighter's career back in terms of the purses he can demand and the opportunities that will be open to him. Loeffler can try to negotiate to fight top guys from PBC but why would he ever anticipate succeeding in that effort except for forced fight scenarios. Al isn't going to want GGG to "devalue one of his commodities" (a top middleweight) by knocking him out, if he can avoid it. The incentive just isn't there.

I can't believe you're still at it, still trotting out same dumb arguments. Gggs contract with HBO did not end with Monroe, they put him on Ppv next dude! He's a linchpin of HBO boxing. Adama was 2 years ago when Ggg was making 400k, and in Monaco dude. Fcuking A.

Why don't you stop making dumb threads and go tweet Jacobs to call out the champ? That Jacobs interview yesterday shows you Ggg is not on the agenda at all

What we need are some unbiased journalists to get to the root of the details and why Team GGG supposedly can't negotiate with Haymon fighters and why there are these supposed network issues.

If it is on Haymon, then as a boxing fan who spends thousands of dollars annually on boxing events, I demand to know specifically what these hold ups are other than me spending days at a time googling trying to do my own journalism.

Again, I encourage the writers of boxingscene to try and figure out this chaos. Even though we might be on two different sides of the field on certain fighters/fights, I'm sure you can respect that as a fan of boxing, no?
I see. Well, I applaud your desire for fair and unbiased reporting - I think we'd all like to know every detail of the ins and outs of the Haymon - HBO beef, though I can promise you it wouldn't stop the arguments on NSB or other internet forums. Is it not enough to know there is a conflict of business interests and there are two sides to it? You're inclined to blame GGGs lack of top opposition on the man's team - Loeffler and K2 and then come up with speculative reasons why that would be the case (i.e he's being protected). Others view the same set of information in a different light. Get over it.

Problem is in your very first sentence you already confirm that you consider one version of events to be lies - it short you already have a predisposition to believe certain evidence and dismiss that which doesn't support your beliefs. Don't worry, we all do it - it's simply part of the way the human mind works, but it's a bit tough to pull off the 'fair and unbiased' stance when you announce your prejudice as an opening statement.

No one said his contract ended against Monroe Jr. I said as of Monroe Jr, he met his 4 fight minimum obligation with HBO.

It's all in the article I posted.

                      We shall see.

The sanctioning bodies are helping by making these two come to the table.

The WBA is supposed to make an announces regarding Jacobs-GGG today as well.
