Fight a top 10-20 welterweight. If he's still with Top Rank his options are limited, but someone like Sammy Vasquez or Bizier after Brook beats him would test his relevance. There are a few Russian welterweights on the rise that might be tempted into believing Rios is washed up. Further up the scale you have Peterson or Guerrero.
Don't know if he can win those fights or even if they can be made but that's the level he should be aiming for. The 'top' 7 or 8 welterweights would be too much for him at the moment.
Matthysse is moving up too and HBO would buy that fight. Tough fight but it would sell well. And of course there's always Provodnikov. Failing that, maybe he could call out Victor Ortiz.Comment
