The question is, who would turn down Pacquiao. No active fighter would say no to a Pacquiao fight, that's a privelage, not something that is owed to Khan, he hasn't earned it. If you lose, you come out as a winner in the bank. Khan refuses to fight the top WW's. His last top 5 fighter was Zab Judah, ranked #5 at JWW. His last top 10 win was Alexander, ranked #9 at WW. If we focus on his last top 5 win, it was 5 years ago. Now as a Khan fan, you have to be disappointed at that. The most ridiculed fighters on Earth have fought top 5 fighters more recently than Khan.

Actually, both Peterson and Garcia were ranked in the top 5 when they fought.

But let's be clear about this so as not to be confused to how this really is.If Garcia was to 'avoid the fight' it would only be in the effort to secure all titles and line his pockets.Don't forget in the uk Khan still gets a mention even though his small amount of ppv's were not good figures and of course his first one only lasted 54 seconds, in America he is a nobody (ask HBO!) and don't overlook the fact Garcia will look at this like many others as a backward step having already defended a world title against him.Where he walked through him and smashed him to bits in four rounds,If you didn't catch that one, Khan had a good first round picking Danny off with good fast punchers, continuing his success in the second, although by now Danny was beginning to find his range catching Khan with lefts ! and stiff rights.In the third , well **** , the way Kenny Bayless let it continue could only suggest he had a bet on Khan as he was gone,gone,gone, pathetic to watch on rubbery legs.To continue Kenny had to pull his gloves up as Khan starred down at them seeming not knowing what they were.The fourth round was even more brutal when I was genuinely concerned for Khans future health as he was up and down like a yo-yo and again staggering backwards all over the place with a confused look.
So let's be clear if Danny chooses another route it's not through the fear of losing to Amir Khan.

No way is Khan the A side in this fight, no way at all.

In his own mind he is. Imagine him coming saying he wants this and that.

Remember, it's 80-20 to Garcia I think, right?

That's what - $1-$2mil at best? Then hopefully he'll take his beating off Brook and at least make some serious money whilst doing it.

Yep. I see that too. If Garcia wins , then he fights Thurmon-Porter winner next. Khan wins he can unify with Brook for huge money in England. Hope this fight is in Barclays, not over across the pond. Garcia with philly andPR connections and the Brits always travel to East coast well. I don't know but i wonder if Canelo wins and Pac wins then they fight in Sept. also. ?

Pac says he's done after the Bradley fight and if he isn't no way Arum let's him near Canelo at 155.

Yeah after getting destroyed, Khan's been staying on that steady 'less than 50% KO ratio, preferably outside the top 10' diet.

Postol got a voluntary coz his mando Amir Imam decided to take a tune up fight before facing him, and then that bum Amir went and lost the damn tune up fight.

The wbc can't enforce a fight if the mando doesn't want it dum ass. The onus is up to the mando to enforce his right to the title, if he doesn't or agrees with the champ to postpone, then the wbc can't do nothing bout it, at best the can force the mando to defend his mando position against #2 if he takes to long to challenge the champ.

The WBC CAN force a fighter in a mandatory position to fight the champ, if that fighter refuses, they can strip him of his mandatory position, upgrading the #1 challenger to the Mandatory spot and so on.

Essentially WBC has said they will not allow a voluntary, (which is rediculous considering Canelo is allowed one, and GGG was allowed to agree, again.) What this means is both Danny, and Khan may be in danger of being stripped if either one of them refuses to fight the other.

On the face of it, there is NO reason this fight shouldn't be made.

Garcia's side: They already beat Khan once and you have to favour the style match-up and think one of Garcia's hooks will get through again. And it's not like Khan is a big puncher.

Khan's side: He's been telling us for years this is the fight he has wanted.


However, this is boxing and these are two Al Haymon fighters. In reality, Garcia's side seem oddly (or maybe tellingly) wary of this fight.

Khan has also lost his competitive spirit and instead prefers to fantasise about fights he'll never get over over competitive fights. Does he really want to fight the guy who nearly ended his career? Talk is cheap with Amir.

Then you got the Al Haymon factor. This fight only gets made if he allows it, and he doesn't have a good track record of allowing great fights to be made.
