It's been two years since Mikey Garcia stepped into the ring

His last fight, January 25/2014 vs. Juan Carlos Burgos.

He's 28, he lost 2 years off his prime. It doesn't look like he's going to be back any time soon.

He'd rather fight his promoter than an opponent in the ring.

Oh well...I was a fan while it lasted. Still don't really understand his beef with TR. They took a relatively ugly, unappealing fighter and turned him into a minor star with the opportunity for some high profile fights. Good riddance

Add Mikey to the Ward and Gamboa club of fighters who sabotaged their own careers. Nothing was worth pissing away two years of his career.

Oh well, he will soon be forgotten as people tend to focus their attention on active fighters

The one thing in his favour is that he has stayed quiet during the layoff. There is nothing that fans hate more than an inactive fighter talking shit. See Ward for an example.
