Fight is not happening, period. PBC or nothing and HBO has that ****** exclusive contract **** on Kov. Disappointing but atleast we'll get other good fights this year.

This lie again?
Duva didn't petition for the purse bid, Haymon/Gym did.
Duva petitioned for Kovalev to made Stevenson's mando, hoping she could then negotiate a deal to make the fight, which is what usually happens in those circumstances.
But Gym/Haymon refused to negotiate and petitoned the WBC for an immediate purse bid.
Duva later played the same trick herself to get Fury stripped of the IBF belt, btw.
That aint no negotiation, that's making uncompromising demands. It's obvious that she can't get 50/50 split if she wants a Haymon fighter of that caliber to cross over to HBO, just like Stevenson would have to take a pay cut if he want Kova to come to pbc/showtime.
Purse bid was the only way to fix this cause it was obvious from the start that negotiations were'nt gonna work, you gotta be an idiot to think they would under the circumstances.
Purse bid cancels out the negotiation bs and the guy willing to fork out the most money gets their way.
Also don't you find it funny that she didn't run away from purse bid between her and haymon when it involved Glazkov and Martin but ran with her tail between her legs when it involved Kovalev and Stevenson?
This ***** (like most women) is a control freak who cries foul play and plays the victim whenever she don't get her way. She called a purse bid to get Fury stripped and participated in the purse bid thereafter coz she called for it, but if Haymon is the one calling for purse bid she gonna cry foul play and badmouth him in public? what kinda bull is that?Comment

Duva made it clear a long time ago that she has no intentions of negotiating with that "HBO 50/50 split, take it or leave it" bs she posted on her company's facebook/twitter.

Wait till we know the details of the deal she thrashed out with Yvon Michel. She said he was happy with it, and it met all Stevenson's requirements, including the purse.
If Duva doesn't want Kovalev to fight Stevenson, why would she be negotiating with Michel to try and make it happen?
And why would she have lined Stevenson up to fight Krusher when she was still promoting the pair of them?
Glazkov vs Martin was a different situation entirely. Glazkov doesn't have an exclusive contract with HBO, so losing the purse bid wasn't a problem there.
So no, I don't find it funny. Neither would you if you'd thought it through.Last edited by kafkod; 01-26-2016, 02:02 PM.Comment

1) A compulsive liar is defined as someone who lies out of habit. Lying is their normal and reflexive way of responding to questions. Compulsive liars bend the truth about everything, large and small. For a compulsive liar, telling the truth is very awkward and uncomfortable while lying feels right.
2) A pathological liar lies compulsively and impulsively, almost without thinking about the consequences of their action. They lies regularly on a spontaneous basis even if he gains no benefit from it, or even if they traps themselves into it. Pathological liar cannot control their impulses to lie and it is usually a self-defeating trait.
12/19/2014 - Light heavyweight: Champion Adonis Stevenson has an optional defense against Dmitry Sukhotsky on Friday night and the winner can take one more optional defense. But, in a highly unusual move, the WBC accepted a proposal made by Main Events promoter Kathy Duva that the winner of the March 14 fight between three-belt titlist Sergey Kovalev and former champion Jean Pascal become the WBC mandatory challenger. Organizations typically do not rank titleholders from other organizations, but the WBC made an exception -- and a welcome one -- in an effort to force Stevenson into fighting the Kovalev-Pascal winner. If the sides do not make a deal and it goes to a purse bid the split will be 50-50, another highly unusual move because usually a WBC titleholder is entitled to no less than 60 percent in a purse bid.

lil liar, you got the nerve to put AFTER in bold; I, I honestly don't know if you're a compulsive or pathological liar

Get it
Now read the part I bolded: "if the sides do not make a deal the split will be 50/50.
Clearly, the intention was to force Haymon/Gym to negotiate with Duva and make the fight.
Mauricio Sulaiman has made it clear he wanted the fight to happen.
Everybody did, except Haymon.Last edited by kafkod; 01-26-2016, 05:44 PM.Comment

Believe me, I understand why you defend Kathy Duva that much, you both cut from the same cloth.

I'm not defending Duva or telling lies
I'm just telling you she didn't send any offer to Haymon or Gym before they petitioned the WBC for an immediate purse bid.
That's not a lie, it's a fact.
Next time, read quotes and think about them for a moment before you post them. That way, you won't keep making an idiot out of yourself.Last edited by kafkod; 01-26-2016, 10:09 PM.Comment
