  • Eddie Hearn's Greed..Khan vs Brook, Lets Crunch Some Numbers..

Ok all ******ity and fan boyism to one side

If Brook vs Khan does say 1 million UK PPV buys at £20

    +

    50k seats at £50

=this amounts to over £22 million in the UK.

This does not include the US, Showtime who will also offer a substantial amount

Khan is asking for £10 million. Eddie is then left with £12 million and form this he he only wants to give Brook £2 million

Hearns a mega ****, this is why Kell needs to sign with Haymon

Also even if it doesnt do a million PPV, it will do 700k - 800k.

Khan is simply asking for £10 million...Hearn is free to do whatever he wants with the rest

Hearn must be some businessman if he can get the stadium to host the fight for free and Sky/Showtime to do the same with the broadcast :blow:

In other words, you are talking GROSS not NET figures which is why Hearn is absolutely correct when he says that Khan wants 80/20

      My sign says it all.

Khan made a great point the other day, don't look at what I'm making. At the end Brook will make the highest purse of his career perhaps ever. The fact they need to beg for 40% split goes to show Kell ain't worth that.

Funny how Brook when he won the title thought he had some sort of leverage: Queen Kaan can geh in the queue. LOL.

Oh and remember all those big fights Eddie got Brook.

The stadium gets a % from ticket sales...i said 50 k, but this fight could do 80k easily

        I didnt even factor in

        Advertising,
        Sponsors,
TV rights, this fight will be shown all over the world. Networks bid for the rights

The fight is big whichever way you spin it, probably the bigger than Froch vs Groves

Khan asking for £10 million is reasonable. Its up to Hearn how much he wants to give Brook.

End of the day this is all about Hearn and his fathers greed.

I agree. I don't like either guy particularly (and Khan's team are terrible) but I'm far more on Khan's side in this. He's taken far more challenges in his career and has a much bigger fan base.

If Brook is getting a career high payday then he needs to take it.

          Hearn is a shady bastard.

Khan can ask for whatever he likes but he simply isn't worth 10 million

As an example, Froch reputedly made 8 from the Groves fight at Wembley and that was a much bigger fight

Have to love Khan logic - no title, no credibility, no activity, last fight 900 k but A side doe so give me 10 million

Sky keep half of the ppv money, and the average ticket price won't be £50 it will probably be more like £150, but remember they have to pay a site fee to secure Wembley. Long story short I think the fight generates somewhere in the region of £15-17 million @ 1 million ppv buys, you are probably looking at £1-2 million for the undercard fighters. I agree that Khan demanding £10 million is probably reasonable. I think they should just stick to a money split to simplify things.

That's my argument too, even Eddie knows his boy Brook ain't the draw here and is happy with 40% and I guess Khan also gets the lion's share of the ticket and PPV revenue, especially on an international basis.

Khans been drawing millions of TV viewers since he was a teenager, Brook has never drawn that kind of crowd or money.

I'm a fan of both guys and I actually think Brook hits hard enough to end Khan but there is no way Brook is a draw and there is noway Khan is in the wrong for negotiating a bigger split, plus the WBC want Khan for their tourney, so Khan has more options, Brook gas Jo Jo Dan and Frankie Gavin lol

Can you stop debating like a bellend?

You can say Khan isnt worth such and such, but in reality he is.

This fight is big, it's just not in Hearns own interests

Brook and Khan can be rewarded handsomly, but this means Hearn ends up with less money for himself

Good post, i think the fight is worth more than 17 million, but yes Khan asking for 10 million isnt that much of a big deal
