I'll put it into better perspective for you with some reality and relating to boxing. When Oscar De La Hoya fought Chavez Sr., many Mexicans (meaning those from Mexico - those naturalized citizens and completely different form of govt. established by Mexicans) were hating on De La Hoya. I remember that year and bout, many of my Mexican American friends were rooting for Chavez Sr. because why? He represented the ''purity'' of ''Mexican?'' I know it is ****** and I don't care much for it, but it's important to educate people on the difference between nationality and ethnicity.

I'll put it into more PERSPECTIVE for you, and the reality, but IF the USA represented true equality of one NATION, there wouldn't ongoing turmoil between groups and different classes. That's when you start to WANT to know about Politics..which is good for you.

Victor Ortiz, Brandon Rios, Floyd, Ali, Wilder, Oscar, are ALL AMERICANS representing the red white and blue boxer, not other nations. Oscar won the Gold because he was a skilled American Boxer, not because his ethnic background is Mexican. The reality is that many Middle Class and Upper Class and RICH Mexicans don't care or give a shıt about the majority of Mexican American culture. This divide is important to understand.

Cotto. Born and Raised and trained in PR. Danny, American kid with a PR background from Philly. A lot of PR heads didn't care when Danny fought in PR against Herrera.

    No though.

    Cotto born in Rhode Island.

I understand the difference but imo, comparing a Mexican American or Puerto Rican American to an African American is crazy. I speak Spanish, black ppl don't know any African languages and don't even know what country in Africa their family came from. They don't acknowledge it all. We do. Yeah, we are American born but like it's totally different, uncomparable. That's what I said was ******.

But... You were crying about Danny NOT being a Puerto Rican because he was NOT born in Puerto Rico.

According to your earlier post, Danny is NOT PR because NOT born in PR but somehow...Cotto is because he was born in Rhode Island?

          Explain?

          LMAO!

          Slow though...

PRs give everyone problems. It's not just Mexico brah. When you have greats like Tito, Gomez, and Benitez it's pretty easy to see that.

Also, people don't realize that the Mexican war battles of the Alamo was Mexicans opposed to black slavery in the southern territories of the USA. This is thought is Mexican education, but the USA blankets that history and just call it a territorial dispute.

Mexicans fought against black slavery. That should put a smile on some black folk.

I'm happy that scares you. It's kind of like when Neo learns about the truth and the initial suspense is denial.

And thus, the naive believe that American History X is 100% factual and non biased for the benefit of the American people...where National Security can easily say such truths are a ''breach.''

It's the 21st Century son. Whistleblowers running these things. De-classified and debunked American History X is nothing new.

Just don't take the American school systems for granted and the publishers, affiliations, running inaccurate history for the longest. Some privatized schools have completely different education than the majority of cliche'd knowledge protocols...

I have always felt some Puerto Rican fans hold a grudge or have a complex towards the Mexican boxers/fans. This thread proves it, who would make such a thread when the answer is clear.. All I have to say is, don't feel a type of way. Both regions have great boxers and will continue for years to come.

Regardless, Cuba produces the best boxers from Latin America.
